Durable, Great Colors (itchy wool)

Two year review: we've had this rug in our living room for a little over two years and it's held up great so far. It's a pretty high traffic area, but a good vacuuming works great to keep it looking good. The vibrant colors look great with the cream wool. It is itchy wool, not great for bare feet.

Beautiful but itchy...

This rug looks very similiar to what is pictured except the background is a deep beige, not anything close to white or cream. It has an extremely rough texture and is not something that can be comfortably walked on barefoot.

Great rug!

I'm always wary of making purchases online when the item is 1) subject to color differences on monitors and 2) large enough that it would be costly to return. Although I would say that overall, the rug is *slightly* darker in person, the colors are for the most part true to life (at least on my monitor :) ). The orange is a nice, saturated color... almost persimmon. The grey is a very cool grey, not a warm one, with blue undertones. The ivory is, well, ivory. It reminds me of the color of the sand on the beaches of North Carolina. The size is not quite 6' x 6'... mine is 76" x 73" but it looks square. It is kind of flimsy, which I wanted (I don't like high-pile rugs) and looks like it will hold up well. I'd definitely recommend a rug pad, especially on hardwood floor. Overall, this is a great rug for a good price.

Great rug but colors not as represented

I really like Overstock's selection of rugs but this one is surprisingly misrepresented. The colors online are very different to those of the actual rug. The base color is almost dirty-looking, beige and uneven, not at all the crisp, off-white that is represented on the website. The grey is dull without shine, and the orange, while bright and pretty, clashes wildly with the grey. It really looks nothing like the photos online. I hope to be able to return this and will contact Overstock about it. Other buyers should really think twice about what it is they want; if it is a beige-base rug, this is probably going to work well, but if it is a more off-white/pale base tone, this is not for them. Let me add that the quality of the weave is terrific and that the rug is solidly woven. It is a dhurrie, though, and thus it is thin and scratchy - which these rugs are supposed to be.
