Beautiful, Hand Tufted Wool Rug

I've been searching for an 8 x 10 off-white wool rug forever. It needed to be wool, soft underfoot and have some texture. This rug was perfect for me and at a great price point.

Photos are horribly misleading. This rug is very grey in person. Here is the closeup of the actual rug vs the photos online. I’m not going to even unroll it. Returning, do not purchase unless you want a grey rug.

What it lacks in durability, it makes up for in stank! I love Wayfair, especially the reviews, which are so helpful. When I read the reviews on this rug, I thought they must have been exaggerating. But after buying, I wish I could go back in time to believe the other reviews and save myself the money for buying this rug. I've had wool rugs in the past. In fact, I have one in my living room right now. You expect some odor when you first buy a wool rug, since it still has lanoline and whatever chemicals the factory uses. When I tell you this rug STINKS, I mean it. I bought the rug for my bedroom and have had it for about a month. The smell is so bad that I still don't want to be in there. The odor is pungent. In addition, it constantly sheds little wisps of wool that get all over the house and make the rug look really dilapidated. I have a dog, and just from the normal wear of a dog walking on the side of the rug that's *not* under the bed, it already looks about 10-15 years old. Please, do yourself a favor and do NOT buy this rug.
