Light with no shade

It's great for what I needed it for. It lights up the whole room, looks nice, pricey, but I like it. I added a bright white light, it goes good with the rest of the decor in the room.

This light did not work for me - I decided I did not want cord hanging down wood post - I was glad Overstock let me return for credit and free shipping

Missing instructions (only had instructions for "Option 1", which is to mount to a board and make it portable?? Who would make this swing arm wall lamp portable? Just...weird. Next, when I tried to do the mounting to the wall without instructions (seemed simple enough: screw mounting plate to wall with screws and drywall anchors; mounting bolts previously inserted and pointed out; place lamp base over mounting plate with bolts through the mounting holes on it, screw on little black bolt covers). Nope. The mounting bolts are about a 1/2 inch too long (they stick out from the lamp base so you can see at least a 1/4 inch of them after the covers are on), and none of the other hardware (screws for the strange portable option) could possibly work as substitutes. So bizarre. Also curious why the specs say "plug in" (which it definitely is, btw) but there is a secondary note in the description at the end that says "hardwire required". Huh? I spent over $ for these and have already thrown out the box, so guess I'm going to have to go out and buy the correct sized bolts (or add to my tool box with a new pair of bolt cutters). Thoroughly annoyed.
