Only complaint on build quality is that both surfaces (front and back) still have patches that are not completely smooth so taking one star off. At this price point I would expect factory sanding to make wood as silky as a baby's backside across the entire surface. Also notable that the wood took a LOT of sealing oil maybe 5-6 coats over 3 days until it stopped taking the liquid up. So there is definitely no factory treatment applied. For me this is not a big deal I'd rather use my own so I know what's touching my food, but this could be an issue for others.

Unfortunately, I never received my product. As you can see in the picture it show that my cutting board was supposed to be shipped on February 11, 2024. However( no tracking information was ever entered and I never received my product.

This is huge! Such a good quality piece and it looks great on the counter. I use this every day, multiple times a day. It’s very heavy and sturdy. I like the grooved edge feature as well.

When I clicked on this board to receive, I did NOT expect it to be this big!! I was in a rush and didn’t read that it’s 2 FEET long lol (pictures don’t do it justice). It also feels like it weighs a ton but that just goes to show its high quality. My fiance cooks a lot, and while it won’t be his every day cutting board due to the giant size, it will be awesome to have in the future. It’s one of those items that we’d never buy ourselves, but we’re very happy to own it. Here’s my fiancé’s review…Board is solid, good quality. Sized for a turkey or large roast with a good sized juice groove. Feels very sturdy and built to last. Recommend proper maintenance with oil and board cream.

The size of this thing is unreal! It fits perfectly over my stove. I love the groves on it to trap liquid. I haven't used it yet but I'm super excited to throw down in the kitchen with this cutting board. Absolutely love it!!

This John Boos maple wood cutting board is massive and I love it! The size is 24” x 18” x1.5” which makes is perfect for all of my cooking prep. Because it is reversible, I use one side to chop fruits and vegetables and the reverse side for cutting meats. The cutting board has grooves on each side that makes it easy to transport this hefty cutting board. Because the John Boos cutting board’s weight is substantial, there is no need to put wet paper towels under it to keep it from slipping as you use it. Nope. This board does not shift while cutting which is definitely a plus. Maintaining this board with John Boos Mystery Butcher Block Oil should keep this block in perfect condition for years to come. In the meantime, I make sure to elevate the board after cleaning it to ensure air flows underneath to dry it. I use small metal seasoning tins as feet to elevate the cutting board. I used my John Boos cutting board as my charcuterie board on New Years Eve. It was beautiful.

I recently got this sent to me by influenster. This is the best cutting board I've gotten. Just make sure you have oil for it. It is very good quality and big.

This really leaves up the cutting board game in my household, it’s very nice and thick, doesn’t really slide around at all while cutting and the drip edges are nice for clean up!! This cost is pretty high but sooo worth it. It is quite heavy so it’s hard to move it to my sink to give it a proper cleaning but that’s the only downside I can see

I have had a few days to work with my John Booz Maple Wood Cutting Board, and let me tell you, it has changed my kitchen game completely! Right out of the box, this board is stunning, and there is no question about the quality of the wood or product. This cutting board is sleek, well-made, and reversible. You can prep an entire meal on one side, or both, and have no fear of cross-contaminated food. What I love the most is how John Boos brand takes time to inform their customers about the company mission, proper board care, and the history of this company - none of which I knew well before reading the pamphlet that accompanied my board. I had to order the Mystery Oil immediately (it was ~$15 on Amazon) because I know that this board will last a LONG time if I take proper care of it. I can also see where I went wrong with my wooden cutting boards in the past. This board is incredible quality. I can’t wait to update pictures once it’s properly seasoned put to good use. John Boo's is a high-quality maple wood cutting board. It is excellent craftsmanship. It is solid and very durable. Recommend maintenance with oil. I would recommend this cutting board. However, make sure you order the right size. I wasn't paying attention to the size when ordering. It's huge and heavy. It's a little too big for me as I can't even fit it in my sink to wash it.

This is the most beautiful cutting board I have ever seen, and it is absolutely massive which is perfect for putting over your stove. With it being so big, it’s a little harder to clean but it is 100% worth it. I love how it has the grooves on the edges to let any liquids flow into it. So happy I received this!

Its a beautiful large maple wood cutting board! Love how study and lovely it looks. It definitely needs maintenance because after one use and wash it, it got really dry and needs oil

Wow! This is a beautiful piece of woodwork. The grain finish is very nice. The dual sided cutting board has grooves on one side, specifically for cutting meat. The other side has a smooth surface for any other cutting. This cutting board is a SOLID piece of wood so beware of the weight this thing packs on. Love how much surface area you have to work with. 5 stars!! ⭐️
