I had the pepper mill and waited to purchase the matching salt mill. Love the look of them and I’m so pleased with the functionality. All round great purchase.

The colour of the wood

The colour of the wood on the top part of the mill was a different colour from the bottom half. The salt & pepper mills were loose in the box of products ordered. They were just put in plastic bags that were already open so there was no protection for the items. I returned them because they weren’t as expected. I had also bought the green/white salt & pepper set which did come individually wrapped in a box.

Nice pepper mill

This is a nicely designed pepper mill and easy to refill. Unfortunately it was not clear when buying that the wood is untreated and recommended to be oiled before use. Looks nicer once oiled (used tung oil as food safe as long as no nut allergy).

Joseph Joseph pepper mill grinder is tops!

This Joseph Joseph wooden pepper mill grinder is top quality. Easy to set grind size and wipe over and then I use olive oil to bring out the beautiful wood grain. Very happy with my birthday present. 🎁

I love Joseph Joseph you know when you buy their stuff it is quality. Same with this salt grinder. I just put olive oil over the outside to keep it looking special. Beautiful on the dinner table. Grinder never gets glogged like the other did.

Mill wood pepper grinder

Love the size of the granules you can get. Not just the one size of cracked peppercorns. Finally found a great pepper grinder love it!

Wood Salt and Pepper Mills

Look good and function well. They were a gift and I have since seen the same quality product at a much lesser cost. Disappointing.

Exceeded expectations

Been struggling with a series of S&P grinders that left too much mess, pepper too coarse, the top bits kept breaking and failing and the mess left around was getting frustrating. Gave the JJ ones ago and they have exceeded expectations. Great earthy design, so much less mess due looks good and pepper grind is a perfect output for us!

At Last - Form and Function!

My husband and I have been searching for the perfect pepper grinder since we made our wedding gift list. Sadly we found those that looked good didn't last and resorted to disposable grinders. On holiday in Finland we used amazing wood grinders but couldn't source one.

Works well

Brought both the salt and pepper mills. Both arrived and realised there is no distinction between the two. Have to guess which is the salt or pepper each time you pick it up. They do work great and looks lovely on the table

This is a beautifuyl pepper

This is a beautifuyl pepper mill. It looks great and it works. However I bought it specifically for the variable grind settings, and can see very little difference between the fine setting and the coarse setting, so sadly it has disappointed in this respect.

NO-SPILL Salt & Pepper grinders

Had been looking for a reverse natural wood grinder that doesn’t drop its ground bits on the table after using it. Purchased at the same time with the matching pepper no-spill mill we were delighted.

An incredible find. A reverse no-spill salt and pepper grinder in natural wood that both work brilliantly. Easy to use without mess ending up on the table.

the best ever!

i’ve spent a small fortune on pepper mills, all have broken in some way, and in the bin they go, WELL, i have finally purchased my last mill ever! not only is it beautiful to look at, it functions beautifully, no pepper left on table. i do have a trip, i re-tighten the top with each use. but that’s just me!

Wooden salt & pepper mills

I bought the salt mill initially and chose this one because it's made from wood. The design is simple and works. Inside storage compartment is plastic though. £35 is reasonably priced. I bought the pepper mill, both mills are exactly the same. The mills are not named salt and pepper so I marked the underneath so I know which is which. I need not have done this, now they are in use the salt and pepper can be seen around the metal rim. It's all part of the fun anyway. They look great on my kitchen counter.

Don't waste your money

Looks great but completely impractical. You can't actually see the salt or pepper coming out due to the design. And the salt/pepper comes out unevenly so you end up with a pile here and there but nothing in the middle. Waste of money

Would recommend

Easy to use, looks great, easy to refill and produces a good amount of pepper. Best grinder I have found. I love the aesthetic. While it is not the traditional grinder I have really enjoyed using it in the kitchen and having it on my kitchen bench.

Salt and pepper grinder

Love the wood and that fact that no salt is spilt when finished using. Unfortunately Salt doesn’t distribute evenly, it comes out in clumps. I’m a bit disappointed as it was high end price for a grinder. Would not recommend this product.
