The sink is very attractive with my new quartz countertop and I like the lower center divider. It washes nicely. Too soon to know how it does with scrapes and scratches, but none show after two months. Unfortunately, like most new sinks, the bottom is flat enough that you have to push the food to the drain.
Cheap quality. It scratches and stains very easily. Constantly wiping it. Nor worth the hassle. I bought the 5 year Allstate insurance, they didn't cover the damage because they said the claim needed to be file within 30 days. Beware! they don't tell you that when you buy the sink or the insurance.
Vers good sink
This sink is installed in a 36 inches cabinet. Perfect fit in an undermount quartz counter. The two grills included are a bit high on plastic feet, but we get used to. What we like is the seperation in the middle That is about half the height of the sinon. This way, you don't have to raison the dises too high when you transfer from one side to the other.
Karran sink and matching GB flange
Sink is too deep and designers should be mindful of older people for whom it is difficult to bend over into the very bottom of the sink. Especially with the divider being significantly lower than the overall sink - what's the point as the water would overflow into the other drain. Garbage disposal flange does not seat well and water pools. Discussed with Karran customer service and they basically said, tough luck. Some flanges sit higher above the garbage disposal.
Nice mat finish quartz sink
The finish is a mat finish. The very first uses left a black scuff mark. I was able to scrub it off but it makes me nervous for future use. The online help chat stated I can use a Mr. Clean sponge. We are planning to get sink protectors for the bottom. Otherwise we love the look of the sink and the low center makes it easy to use both basins.
What I needed, but a pain for daily use
Small quartz sink like I wanted but the bottom is flat. Water drops sit there and do t drain out. Very disappointed. I was also excited about the low middle wall for washing cookie sheets but my strainer that spanned the outer wall to inner wall on old sink doesn't work here. I'll have to find a new routine for washing my fruit. Just beware of your routine and the possible need to wipe the walls daily before purchasing.
Very Nice Sink & Grids
Todd Donovan at Karran quickly sent me the three sink color samples that I requested so I could decide the color I wanted; I chose Concrete, that has a hint of brown; looks great with our new Uba Tuba countertops installed 8/5/24. I love the low divide. The sink leaves puddles but easily wipes clean/dry. Can't beat the price of the deluxe version with sturdy sink grids, strainer basket assemblies, and cleaner. I opted to get heavier duty strainer baskets that could easily seal for soaking.
Super great and beautiful sink
I love my new sink. The material is smooth and very tough. The surface is durable and surprisingly quiet overall. The sink I bought didn’t come with any plumbing, so I had to buy two drain assemblies, and my installer had to add more piping under the sink to make it fit. If you’re good at installing plumbing, go for it! I’m not, so I had to pay a plumber which added even more to the final cost. This was one big expense for me but it was worth it. I’d buy it again without hesitation. I got rid of my dark metal, single bowl sink with a metal grid. I hated it! It looked beautiful but it was a noisy, cleaning nightmare. I don’t recommend these to anyone. Stick with a two bowl sink, trust me.
Sink other than white or stainless
Want to make your kitchen "different" from every other kitchen you see? Choose a sink in a color other than white or stainless steel (which shows EVERY water spot instantly). I ordered this sink in Bisque. It looks great and blends in with my cabinet, floor colors as well as brings out the copper colored veins in my countertop/backsplash. And, it looks cleaner than a white sink.
After 5 months...
I waited a while to review this sink.
Very nice sink
I wanted a change from stainless steel. Recently updated our countertops so it was the perfect time to get a new sink. This sink is so nice! Doesn’t scratch easily, food doesn’t stick and it just looks so up to date and contemporary. We purchased the 50/50. I live how deep it is and glad that it came with grates for added protection. I am sure we will enjoy this sink for many years.
Karran Brown Sink
I just recently replaced my old formica countertops and drop in sink. I decided to go with an undermount sink and from the great reviews, decided to go with the Karran Double Bowl in brown. Beautiful sink with my new cream/gold countertops. I also purchased a oil rubbed bronze faucet which compliments it nicely.
Great Sink - Great Purchase!
We installed this sink in our new home in early 2022. It sits in the kitchen island - not right under a window - so picture may not look quite right. But I continue being extremely pleased with this sink. I wanted a deep 60/40 because it makes such a difference with being able to fully submerge large pans, yet the other side is still large enough to be usable for more than just rinsing. My T-Fal chicken fryer sits completely flat on the left side of the sink, which is great for soaking. The only thing that doesn't sit flat in this sink are my oversized cookie sheets, which I expected (and don't use on a daily basis anyway). The sink is also deep enough that I could wash my dogs in it if it was needed (7" deep at divider; sink overall is 10" deep). I particularly like this undermount style, as there is just a tiny space between the counter and the sink, at the 'wall' of the sink (can barely be seen); instead of on the top of the counter. Unexpectedly, being white, the sink is very easy to keep clean - even when washing metal pans that make streak marks in it. I use a Magic Eraser sponge with a little Soft Scrub gel cleaner - it's STILL the same white that matches the quartz countertops.
5 Stars
This review is based on the fact that the sink is not installed yet. But from all perception so far it looks great. One thing to keep in mind is that your faucet will not be centered, so if you have a window over the sink, this could be a problem for you visually. The material seems good. Once it's installed, I'll follow up with a photo and update this review to further help.
I put this Karran Quartz sink in my kitchen I bought in the bisque color beautiful, good quality. I chose this color to go with my Taj Mahal quartzite. They look great together. Love the sink and my new counter tops.
Beautiful !!!
Had a master plumber install this sink and black Karran faucet. I absolutely love it.
Beautiful Sink
This sink is absolutely beautiful. Exactly as described. Will have a daily maintenance of a good dry out after use to prevent water spots. The included luster oil works great. Keeps it very shiny. I highly recommend if your looking for a nice looking sink to finish your kitchen
KARRAN sink will chip. No Bisque touchup available
I love the sink but be really careful about hitting the divider in the middle. I chipped mine washing a crockpot. There is no touchup available. They offered to replace the sink at no charge but I would have to pay to have the old one taken out and install the new one. They should offer Bisque touchup.
Not as described but great anyway
I really like my new sink, it's design is both esthetically pleasing and functional. The 60/40 basin divided by the low wall is great when washing larger items. My only complaint is that the sink is not solid stone, ike a granite countertiop, but is actually made out of a composite that contains stone. It probably says this in description but f it does, I missed it, and was surprised when sink arrived. I think to call this a granite sink is misleading...or a deliberate misrepresentation of item. But, as annoying as that was, I still ilike my sink.
Sink looks fantastic! ... once installed. If you are building a fresh kitchen, this sink will be great. If you are trying to get this sink to fit in place of your old one, it will be A NIGHTMARE! This sink is thicker and possibly deeper than all stainless steel sinks, so unless there is a TON of room under your sink, you will be hacking and slashing to get it to fit. Don't get me wrong, it looks beautiful when installed, but we had to cut half of the cabinet out in order to fit it. Fortunately for me, it was next to the dishwasher so that was an option. Measure 3 times before ordering and make sure you have 4"-6" extra room over the sink dimensions.
