This Kohler valve was easy to place and solved my problems

Installing this cartridge did not solve the leaking, so I opted not to invest in any other parts and just install a new faucet in its place……

Should have more generic parts and it would be helpful if you have graphics all around like a pic of the bottom of the part!

Grateful Home Depot had this critical part for my amazing Sherman tank of a Kohler kitchen faucet which I love. Please keep it in stock for years to come!!!

Easy fix,basic tools.

The #rgp1016515 cartridge kit fixes dripping from the spout.

Stopped the dripping, so I am happy enough!

This is for the COLD side

Product description needs to say that this is for the COLD faucet. Hot valve turns the other way. Don't get mixed up.

Much louder than the original equipment .

My hot water valve was leaking. Replaced the hot side only and the valve was a bit louder than the original. Contacted kohler customer service, they were very nice and said there was a pressure change from the original al and the replacement and would necessary to replace both sides and they promptly sent out a pair free of charge. The new valve assemblies turn very smooth but the noise still exist. They work fine but they are noisy. All of the customer service reps were nice and efficient but the original parts, from an audible standpoint were superior to the replacement. Great customer service,

Installation is hit or miss

I have a widespread bathroom sink faucet, K-394-4-CP and this is the third valve that I have purchased for the cold side of this faucet. The installation instructions that were included do not apply to the faucet that I have and there are not any instructions online. The cartridge has to be installed from the bottom and it is a hit or miss and so far I have missed. The latest cartridge is working so far but I can tell by the feel in the handle that it will fail soon. I have remodeled three bathrooms since installing the Kohlers in the first bathroom in 2016 and have not used Kohler because of the issues we have had.

Replaced Kohler 1016814 perfectly. Turned off water, Removed the cap. Removed the screw then the handle pulling straight up with a little wiggling. Unscrewed the body sleeve and removed a nut cover. Then held the large brass nut with channel locks and used a crescent wrench to unscrew the cartridge nut. Pulled out, replaced make sure the tabs are ailigned and held down while i put it all back together. Turned on water, great!

If I'm only reviewing this item then it gets 5 stars. Unfortunately I had to put it on a 2 year old faucet. The faucet didn't simply screw off and back on either. I had to use wide pliers to get it back together that scratched the faucet. This is the second faucet in 4 years.
