Perfect for vinyls and record player

This same product was nearly $500 at a different store. Love the quality and look. Assembly was fairly easy. We use the shelves to store vinyl records upright and the lowest shelf for the record player. It’s the perfect fit!

Broken and damaged parts

This is a decent enough piece. Expect a huge and heavy box. Some parts are real wood, some are laminate. One back to a shelf was broken off, and the screws from this broken piece scratched other pieces of the laminate in the box. I had to glue this broken part together and make do, as everything was already unpacked and assembly is time-consuming. I will find a way to fill in the chipped laminate top. After getting started on assembly, it was just not worth a return or to wait for a replacement.

Ok, could be better.

I agree with others, that the cam locks on these are TERRIBLE. They're extremely hard to turn and lock—many of them impossible. ...so we hacked things together (hollowed out the plastic cams and used wood glue instead). In the end, the general look is really nice. But the build was not smooth—and in the end makes things a little off (drawer was difficult to slide in, and the whole piece is a little unlevel.)

Don't buy this item. While the wood and finish are beautiful, the hardware used to build the bookcase is flimsy and cheap and doesn't work as described. The "locking" connectors opened up even after being locked in place. To add insult to injury BB&B doesn't cover the return shipping. These bookcases weigh a ton so the return cost a fortune.

Just perfect!

I am using this one as a large bookcase. I have the whole set! Really mid century modern vibe and just has a sleek look to it. The shelves hold a lot and the drawer is really spacious. I highly recommend the whole entire set if you can.

Pretty, but…

Looks great, but took longer to assemble than expected. The instructions were not clear about where a critical support piece was located (top or bottom of drawer box). The drawer was extremely tight to push/pull. Not 100% happy but still keeping and hope the drawer glides easily with more use.

Not Worth the Time

First shipment was returned due to broken pieces and the white paint odor was overwhelming. Tried again with the brown option. No paint odor, but received two damaged pieces. Called customer service and they sent replacements. After completing the assembly, the drawer was lopsided and would not open and close smoothly. Customer service sent more replacement parts. Ultimately, after many hours of time assembling, disassembling and reassembling, we should have spent the extra money and bought the better item from West Elm.

Great item! Did arrive with a small amount of damage, I'm assuming from shipping. But the item looks great, just as described. I'm so happy with it! I thought it was a little overpriced, however its exactly what I need so I'm not complaining.

Incredibly difficult to but together...would not buy again

The components used on the drawer section of this unit were clearly optimistically intended for easy construction but any small imperfection on these components makes it nearly impossible to put this shelf together. My unit had multiple imperfections. My thumbs hurt for days after trying to connect the pieces and close the clasping components. After getting the unit as built as physically possible I thought I was going to have to use it without the drawer because some of the connecting components just didn't work and stuck out, blocking the drawer from fully closing. After hours of trying to put this together my frustration level was through the roof, I walked away feeling like I couldn't possibly take it apart and return it without being charged for what felt like the manufacturer's failure not my own. The end result is forcing the drawer to close on my imperfect unit. It's functionality is now limited and I have a way over priced new bookshelf. I would highly recommend avoiding the frustration and not buying this unit.

Dameged item

Item came damaged. Item came with signs that it was already built and put apart before, it already has a screw in one of the holes and signs of peeled wood! Besides that all the corners were broken. very disrespectful to send such a damaged item, it’s not like it’s so cheap!

High-quality piece of furniture, the piece came in with no shipping damage issues. Assembly was not hard, it took around 30 minutes. Would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a mid-century look similar to west elm.

Lots of chipped pieces, unfortunately.

The final product looks altogether nice and the assembly was straightforward enough. The product, however, came with so many chipped parts that I had to repaint and fix up. It's disappointing they would send so many poor-quality pieces and I don't think I'll be purchasing from Crosley again.

Broken in box

So disappointed. Waited to take it out of the box until the home renovations were done only to find that one of the end pieces is broken in 3 places. Second piece of furniture that I have ordered from Target that arrived broken.

Very Nice Bookcase, Just Some Minor Engineering Errors

TL;DR - Very nice bookcase, just some minor engineering errors, don't expect quality customer service. I needed a nice sized bookshelf for my small apartment. This is true to measurement and fit nicely in my space. I really liked the drawer at the bottom to store my games. The design itself is very nice, mid-century reproduction. It's sturdy and a very pretty color. It is a heavy piece and when the box got to me it looked like they kicked and dragged the it all the way here. Because of that, some of my corners have some gnarly dings on them. No big deal, though disappointing. As a single lady, it was not impossible to put together solo, but having an extra set of hands would have been nice, espeically with the larger side pieces. I ran into one engineering difficulty. Their locking mechanisms are really neat, when they work. You have to pray that the person putting in the locks put them on straight, other wise you will break them (like I did). I reached out the manufacturer's customer service as was indicated on their instructions. I didn't recieve a confirmation of my inqury and they did not respond to me for almost a week. I just jammed the pieces together with a little glue. (Update: They did finally contact me, but needed several pictures. One of which was of the box! I have a small apartment, that went out days ago! Nothing back yet). All in all, I do reccomend this bookcase. It's pretty and spacious and just what I needed.

Looks Great

It is exactly what I was looking for, great quality. Took 3 of us to put it together and a lot of the clips were difficult to close. But put effort snd strength into it and you will get them locked.
