I purchased this for the guest bathroom and it is exactly as described. I purchased this in satin nickel and it looks great. It only holds one roll of toilet paper (the one in use), so it doesn't look messy/junky with extra rolls falling all over the place. The base is heavy so we haven't had any problems with it falling over, and it is the right height.
