It was very easy to replace the old one with this one, and I love how you can set how long it will stay on once its been activated.

Great light - but

Easy to install and works well. It took a little to set it up as the switches do not "click" well and in my case was not quite right and that caused the light to flash when triggered. The motion sensor is very loose - wind vibration will move it. But it does work well and overall I am happy

Not Durable

My initial impression of the all-plastic housing of the IQ America fixture was that it might not hold up through years of direct sunlight, but b/c the light seemed adjustable to just about any location, I decided to give it a try. My intent was to mount it on a concrete wall next to the outside entrance to my basement so that it would come on automatically and light my way down the ramp to the door. But when I removed my old fixture, there was no junction box, only a hole drilled to provide access for the wires (see picture). Because the required bracket has a bend in it (see pic), I was not able to mount the bracket flush to the concrete wall b/c the light would have been 1/4-inch off the wall, which no amount of silicone is going to seal. I tried using the existing bracket from the old fixture but the holes and screws did not align so I put back the old light. I do think that had there been a junction box, installation would have been a breeze. Of course, my house not having a junction box was not the fault of the new light fixture but while I was adjusting the IQ American light to see if I could use it in another location, an adjustable "joint" for one of the light panels broke completely off even though I was using very little force and pressure. Hence, the 1-star rating. My impression of the light not being very durable was obviously correct. I do wish I could have seen how the light performed and if I could have used the many adjustments available to provide good lighting to one of my house entrances.

Simple But Effective Motion Detector Light

I have been struggling with an older, unreliable halogen motion detector light and this fixture has been a welcome replacement so far. The unit arrived in perfect condition with all parts included. It is made of white plastic and light weight. My old one was coated metal with glass lenses so I hope this will brave the elements. It was simple to install with the included paper manual. I really like the rotational flexibility of the two LED panels. They tilt 45 degrees and swivel 130 degrees which makes this light very customizable. The sensor head can also be rotated to pick out a specific area. Settings for operation are simple and can be adjusted while in daylight mode before switching to nighttime only. You can use your indoor light switch to override the motion sensor or turn the fixture on manually. I believe my old light was brighter but this will definitely do the job for the section of my backyard where my dogs run.

This is a hardwired motion light is really well made. The color is neutral so easy to fit in any design. Easy to install. Directions are easy to follow. The lens are thick and designed to last. The lights are bright and make it easy to see what is going on in the dark. This is not only for security but also to help you see when you get home or step outside. The range is great.

Lots of features.

I got this light to put on the end of the house, but once I got it, I found it to made out of plastic and on the end of our house, the sun and elements are the harshest, and I don’t like how plastics react under those conditions, so I ended up putting it under the eves at the front door where it’s more protected from the elements. Other than the plastic, it has decent features. The light out output is 1100 lumens or the equivalent of a 75 watt bulb, so it’s not an overly bright light, so it will work best as an entryway light. It has a pretty good range of detection and is fairly adjustable. It has 180 degrees of detection, out to 55 feet. The sensor can be easily rotated and or tipped to get those adjustments. The lights themselves can be tipped downward about 45 degrees and turned sideways up to 130 degrees. The light can be mounted either on a wall or on a soffit. We have our on a light switch so you have options for its use. You can have it off, in detection mode or, if you turn it on, turn it off, and then right back on, it will stay on for 6 hours before going back into auto mode. The setup is pretty well explained in the instructions. I recommend a full read through and then read them while setting it up. If not for the plastic, I would probably have given it 5 stars.

Light and Bright motion detector spotlight

I was looking to replace a contractor spot light with a motion detector light and this LED unit met the specs. Each LED light is connected to the base by a flexible arm allowing them to be independently positioned to spotlight or floodlight the area chosen. Positioning the light toward my deck stairs is perfect, as the motion detector senses movement in the area and illuminates the stairs at night.

Very bright lights that cover a wide area

This light is very bright and covers a very large area. I was able to replace two single lights that I was using previously with this. The installation was simple and the lights can easily be articulated to cover any desired area. The motion sensor module can also be rotated so that you can aim it at a specific area as well. If connected to a light switch, there's an option to turn off the power and then turn it back on to make it stay on regardless of motion detection which is a nice feature. Two settings can be adjusted for light day/night mode and duration. The day/night mode is used to adjust the light sensitivity so that it doesn't turn on during the day. The duration is for how long it stays on after detecting motion. The installation instructions state that the motion detector reacts to variations in temperature. So, it should not be installed near heat sources like dryer vents. It also should not be aimed at reflective surfaces like pools. Something to keep in mind when deciding if it will work in the position you're planning on installing it.

Don't expect it to turn back off.

It was pretty straight forward installing the Motion Sensing Dusk to Dawn light. This is an integrated light, so you need to wire it in to an existing power supply, which was what we were looking for. The main reason for purchase is to have the light OFF unless there was something or someone moving around that could alert us. After assembling it and waiting until dark, we turned it on and it of course turned on when it saw motion..... but..... never..... turned...... off. We tried adjusting the sensitivity, nothing. So at this point it is just another outdoor light that we will just put on the on position and leave it at that.

A Modern, Energy Efficient LED Flood Light with a Motion Sensor Capability!

I selected this exterior flood light to replace my original flood light located on the rear wall of my home facing my backyard. First, the durable, white plastic housing looks so much better than the rusted metal casing of my old light. Next, I like that the integrated LED light shines bright at 1100 Lumens, 75 watts, yet is far more energy efficient than the traditional halogen light bulbs! I also like the motion sensor feature with an extended 180 degree range. I love the fact that I have the option of using motion or controlling the light using my interior light switch! The LED lights shine bright and remain on from dusk until dawn! Assembly was fairly simple, and I like the wiring harness provided with the light! There are two lamps that are adjustable on each side of the unit with the sensor in the middle. This was a nice upgrade for my exterior lighting!

Great Security Light

The LM-1811-WH security light is a great light. It comes with everything you need for a normal installation. The case is made out of white plastic. It can be mounted on the wall or under the eve which makes it very adaptable you either installation. There are two adjustments, one for the length of time it stays on and the other for the amount of darkness needed for it to come on. The light is adjustable to the angle distance it will shine. The light is very easy to install. It has a good gasket to keep water out and it uses a single mounting nuts to install. I really like the light and how it works.

Product arrived broken...

Received item with a broken wing, not just unscrewed - unable to repair.LM-1811-BZ, 75-Watt, 1000 Lumen, 180-Degree, Bronze, Motion Sensitive Security Light. Manufacturer claims product has added coverage beneath sensor with manual override and auto reset. It can be mounted under eaves or on a wall. Unfortunately, it's made of cheap plastic and came broken in the box.

A good quality product.

The old 25 year old light on my outbuilding shop quit a few weeks ago and (finally) a break in the rain allowed me to install this one. I'm pleasantly surprised with it. It's solidly-made and was pretty easy to install, even 12 feet up the side of my shop, only requiring a Phillips screwdriver and a caulking gun with some silicone caulk to install - a 45 minute job. It was simple to test & set up (adjustable for time of day and duration), and, from the attached pictures you can see it's very bright. A good product.

Nice motion light

This motion light came very well packed. Detailed instructions were included, so even a novice DIY’er would be able to install with basic wiring knowledge. The light itself is plastic but seems sturdy and I believe it will last. The sensitivity for motion can be adjusted as well as the length of time for the light to remain on. (From 5 seconds to 20 minutes) The light is bright enough to see the surroundings in the dark but not a blinding floodlight in your face reaction. I would definitely recommend this motion light.

Bright security light that functions well.

The outside light on the back of my garage was the old style sensor light with large and expensive incandescent bulbs. It needed to be replaced and the IQ America security light did the trick. It has a clean look, easily mounted onto the existing electrical box, and functions really well. The sensor is active to 55' and the lights (2 of them) shine brightly. Both the motion sensor and the lights are adjustable. There are 2 control knobs to set the day/night and length of time settings. These knobs are a little small and I have to use my reader glasses to see which is which. But they operate easily and get the job done.

Great Home Security Light

I needed a Motion Activated LED Security Light for my side patio. The light needed to be eave mountable and energy efficient.

This light is small and lightweight and easy to install. The light is 1000 lumen so not the brightest but perfect for confined areas. I used it outside of my door by the driveway and it the right amount of light for the area. Simple two wire installation only took about 10 minuets to install. The light has an adjustment so if installing in the daytime you can check the motion setting and you don't have to wait till dark to adjust.

Less Than Impressed

I am less than impressed with the IQ America LM-1811-BZ Motion activated LED security light, not because of its performance (which I was not able to test) but because of the quality. The light boasts several great features, comes with step by step installation instructions and everything needed for installation but I received the light in an undamaged box and one of the lights was broken. This light is made very poorly and appears to be much less durable than other motion lights. Unfortunately I cannot recommend this light due to poor quality and durability.

Easy to install

Small light easy to install. Looks good, great for tight locations that don’t require a lot of bright light. Works well. Doesn’t have a lot of adjustment to it, and no way to lock it in place. It’s fully plastic so will be interesting to see how well it holds up in the Texas heat. Needs to be brighter for larger areas. However it does look nice overall.

Better than a solar light

I have an area in my yard that is as dark an area as you can find. Normally I have to find a working flashlight to avoid walking in one or more large trees. My work shop is 200 feet from the house, so this light should keep me from injuring myself by walking into a tree. I don't leave lights turned on, so the motion detector will come on when I get in range. I literally just finished installing the light today around 3:30. Then I had to wait for it to get dark enough for the light to come on.
