Love This Mill!!
We love the mill! We were sad that the threads for the handle were not set correctly. The bolt does not go all the way in, and the handle is not snug. The mill itself meets and exceeds our expectations. We are excited to put it to work.

I ordered one of these mills and had it on order for approx 2 months and no word from them so ordered mill from grain mill in Minnesota a red colored mill and about 2 months later the red mill came in so I cancelled order from these folks and they charged me a 10% restocking fee on my order which was their mill extra grind plates among other stuff. Over $100+ fee of which they never even stocked it; they ordered it from Ukraine and never got it. They scammed me out of that money in my book. As you can see they still don’t have them. That’s been over almost two years ago. Beware ordering from these folks. They may skim 10% of your order if you cancel even if they nor you ever receive what you ordered. I thought their actions on this order were uncalled for since they never received it nor had it been shipped from Ukraine when I cancelled their order. They walked away with about $150 if my memory serves me correct. Just for having a web presence. They don’t offer an option of ZERO stars!

Couldn't be Happier
We chose the Diamant mill after months of research online, as this mill is the only one with the features we wanted. I was expecting a lot from something this expensive, and believe me, it definitely delivers! The finish on the mill is absolutely beautiful, we were amazed at how elegant it looked when we unboxed & assembled it.The assembly instructions that came with it were pretty disappointing, but honestly, it was easy to figure out and to put together. Even people like us who have never owned a mill before could quickly figure it out. And it's so simple to use! Our main uses for the mill are coarsely grinding corn for animal feed and grinding wheat berries for flour. I really appreciate not having to changing augers, and the adjustment of the grinding burrs is quick and easy. It only took us a few tries to get the hang of it, and now we change settings with ease. Truly a great design. The operation of the mill is even more satisfying. At first I thought the finger guard would block whole corn kernels, but to my surprise they passed easily and I didn't have to force any through. Wheat berries fall steadily through with no problem. The huge handwheel is a great feature! I easily cracked one cup of corn in less than five minutes, with almost no effort required to keep the big wheel turning. I wanted to see what the mill was capable of, so my first batch of wheat berries I ground into flour in one pass. Let me assure you it was a workout, but not something impossible. It took me about 15 minutes to figure out a rythym to my work, and after I settled into it I was able to grind two cups of wheat berries into flour in 20 minutes. I am in my mid 50s and this is something I could do 3 or 4 times a week without any problems. For comparison I ground another batch of wheat berries into flour in two passes. Although it took longer I don't think it was that much easier on the final grind. It was easier, but I was hoping for more. The first pass was definitely easier.I wasn't sure how much flour would be left in the various parts of the mill after grinding, and on my first batch of flour I just kept going until flour stopped coming out. This mill does an amazing job of completely emptying itself and leaving hardly any flour behind! This was better than I hoped for. We have not had to clean the mill yet, but I did toy around with taking the grinding burrs off just to see. Again, this was easy to figure out without really needing any instructions, and it all went back together easily and solidly.I can also attest to what others have said - after 30 minutes of grinding wheat berries into flour in one pass, no part of the mill was even slightly warm - not the auger, grinding burrs, or the flour.I am sorry to read the review of one person who felt they did not get a quality product, and described all the problems that seemed like manufacturing defects. I had no isues whatsoever, I wholeheartedly recommend this mill to anyone who is serious about a high quality mill that will not wear out.We really love this mill, it is such a great combination of beauty and function. We show it off to everyone who comes over, and they all take a turn grinding. Everyone loves it! This is an expensive mill, but it is an investment that will pay for itself many times over. It is an heirloom you will be proud to pass on to future generations.
Built to last, does a great job!
We bought ours in 1983 when we started farming. Used it a LOT. We grew our own organic grain and ground by the 5 gallon pail full for ourselves and also sold flour to others. For 32 years till 2015 when we retired from farming. (We built an extension for the hopper.) The flour coming out doesn't get hot like most of the little electric mills. We ran ours with a bicycle-driven belt set-up and sometimes electric motor. We grew very fond of the mill. Truly built to last and a great investment.
Very Happy
I have been watching this Mill for over a year just waiting, and saving, for a moment when I was willing to part with the small fortune it costs. Well that time in 2016, and I am happy to say this Mill has not been a disappointment. This is certainly an item that I will be enjoying for years after I have forgotten how much it cost. Not sure what else to say except I bought this in 2016 and received a a Denmark Diamant, not a Poland one, doubt there is a difference between the two just thought I would mention that.
We purchased this mill with
We purchased this mill with the extension and extra burrs. The extension really gives it more power. Is is a work out, but the taste and experience of fresh ground flour in home made bread is worth it. When we first received it, my teenage son stood there grinding corn while he was talking to me and had enough corn meal for cornbread that night. I have mine mounted to a stand next to my island in the kitchen so everyone wants to try it when they come over. It's beautiful and goes well in the kitchen of our log home.
Beware, the color of this
Beware, the color of this item is not like that in the photos. The color is a bright, ugly neon green. It is NOT a nice, dark green like the pictures.
My wife and I purchased
My wife and I purchased the Diamant Mill in 2001 from Lehman's. I must say what a great piece of equipment going on 13 years of use. We grind wheat, oats, corn for making bread to animal feed. One of the best purchases we have ever made. --David
I purchased this a few
I purchased this a few months ago with the idea of using this in an emergency time of chaos in our country. Now, I use it all of the time! I love it. My bread maker is in the garage now and I only make bread from scratch. This machine is worth much more than it cost. Very well made. My husband retired from a space and missiles company and wouldn't get over the quality in this machine as metal strength and integrity was his life for years. We are in So. Oregon and found grain to use here. Love this machine!!!
Works best grinding wheat. Not
Works best grinding wheat. Not so good for corn, especially not wet corn. Makes good flour but it's hard work. No need to join a gym to workout plus will heat you for free in the winter. Really it's a 3 in 1 machine. Grinder, exerciser and heater.
I have no Idea why
I have no Idea why We waited to buy this mill. This mill is by far, the Cadillac of the Hand Mills. It turns real easy and smooth.. I ran the wheat threw 2 times, Just playing. I also had some corn on hand and I tried that too. It also makes great fresh ground corn mill too. I love making fresh ground mill, and the smells so great, wow !!! This thing has some great craftsmanship, and should last a life time and then some. Thanks to the Company who makes it. And thanks to the Company who sold it. Job Well Done.
This mill was one of
This mill was one of my most prized possessions. As an avid home bread baker I relished the flavor that freshly ground wheat made in my loaves. It was extremely easy to use and was also a lovely addition to my kitchen. Alas - I loaned it to a friend who was starting a goat enterprise with his new family as I felt they had a more important use for it. It ended up with the ex-wife when they split and I'll never see it again. When I bought it it was closer to $500. sigh... If you can, get it! It's beautifully made and a wonder to work with!
I recently purchased the Diamant
I recently purchased the Diamant Grain Mill with no prior experience milling my own wheat. Wow- what a difference in the quality of my bread! The taste, texture, & nutritional value of my bread improved instantly. Moreover, the simple (albeit very physical) act of grinding my own wheat enriches the quality of the cooking experience and enhances my personal connection to the food I eat. This surprised me. I selected the Diamant following a period of extensive internet research on the subject. Most, if not all sources agreed that the Diamant is at the head of the class. I assure you that it is correct. The construction of the appliance is extremely sturdy, the operation is both ingenious and uncomplicated, and the flour I've produced from it is beyond compare. The mill is heavy and it absolutely requires a sturdy base of operation; do not attempt to use this from a flimsy modern tabletop. I mount mine on my workbench. Although the user-guide was rather spare, I found that I really didnпѕ’t need more direction. If you think that the $1300 price tag is too rich for your blood, I encourage you to think again. This product is worth that hefty price tag. Make no mistake, a purchase of a Diamant is a purchase of an heirloom tool your family will fight over long after youпѕ’ve kicked the bucket.
