[Rewarded Review] Diagnostic app can't connect
The "ThinIQ app" can only be used on older 2.4GHz Wi-Fi software. I can't connect the dishwasher to the app for diagnostics or remote control. LG Tech Support suggested I use a different network (how many networks should I have in my house) or switch Wi-Fi providers.

LG Dishwasher Review: Great Purchase and Installation
[Rewarded Review] Love it! Quiet and Cleans my dishes.
I have owned this for about three months, I've had no complaints. I have noticed that sometimes there is condensation on my dishes BUT I opt to not use 'rinse aid' on my dishes - so it's to be expected. Otherwise the dishwashery is super quiet, controls are easy to understand, and it was easy to install. Gets my dishes very clean and I am super impressed coming from an older dishwasher that still had a heating element. I love that the top rack is adjustable so I can fit tall pots in the bottom and the utensil holder has slots for each piece but also opens up for larger utensils. No complaints so far, I'll update if I run into any complaints
[Rewarded Review] Normal Cycle not useful-Auto with Extended Dry is
We have had the dishwasher for a year and half. It cleans great but has an odd glitch where the front panel starts to glitch (beeping and jumbled led display and can shut off). It happens infrequently so no error can be found to fix the unit. Also, unfortunately, LG dishwashers, including model LDFN3432T, typically don't have a specific "clean" or “end” indicator light after the Normal cycle finishes. The control panel lights, including the "End" light, usually turn off automatically after a set time (minutes to an hour) following the Normal cycle completion. So with this panel issue sometimes we don’t know if the dishwasher completed a full Normal cycle. Also dishes are wet after the Normal cycle completes. Running the Auto cycle plus Extended Dry overnight will show 'End' on the panel in the morning and the dishes will be dry. The Auto cycle takes longer than the Normal cycle. Other than the Normal cycle issues, this has been a great dishwasher that is usually not too noisy when running.
[Rewarded Review] Need to reset it frequently
Like 5 times the power button and other buttons don't come on. First time they later came back on somehow after hours. Called the second time as it was not coming back on after a day and it was/is under warrantee. They walked me though the dishwasher reset procedure. Go find the breaker for the power to the unit. Turn it off, Then hold down the start button for 15 seconds. Then go turn the breaker back on. It worked but this happened like 5 times within 10 months. It's not that convenient to go to the breaker panel. This should not be normal SOP. None of my other appliances fail like this. Happy with the cleaning and low noise but this should not be considered normal.
The Only Good Thing is the Price
About one out of four times, more than an hour into the cleaning, a 6E error code stops the process. The only recourse is to start over. 6E means out of balance, which I've never experienced four decades of using a dishwasher. What's also strange is that I won't do anything to the load. I just put in a new Cascade pac, press power off, then start again. The second attempt always resulted in a finished load (frequently not as clean as any previous dishwasher I've owned). Now, however, after getting the 6E error four times in a row, I have to run it on the turbo setting to use it. I'm on my second year now. I should have called this problem in during the first year while it was on warranty. I'll never know what LG would have done.
[Rewarded Review] LG dishwasher
The LG dishwasher is a top-notch model with robust cleaning cycles, impressive drying times and a spacious interior. It offers excellent value despite some imperfections. The 1 Hour Wash & Dry cycle delivers as promised, and the Heavy cycle with steam manages to clean over 99% of the most difficult stains. Dishes come out dry uniformly. The adjustable racks and foldable tines make it incredibly easy to use. However, the Normal cycle cleans better than average overall, except for a blind spot towards the middle of the lower rack. Overall, very happy with my purchase
Huge disappointment. I had no idea that there is no heating element. The entire dishwasher is soaking wet at the end of the cycle regardless of when I turn on the dishwasher. "Dynamic Dry technology uses two-stage drying system" is a scam. It's using the heat from the hot water to dry the dishes and it does not work! The bottom rack has a huge open space in the middle so you can't put regular size plates or bowls in. You can't see it in the photo so when it gets to your house, surprise! The utensil rack has a large thick handle that covers 2 sections making it inconvenient to put in and take out utensils. I was so excited to replace all my kitchen appliances but the only thing I see is an awful dishwasher. Don't buy it!
[Rewarded Review] Good when it works, but too many issues.
Not a fan. Had this for a year and a half and I've had best buy come over 5 different times to fix issues that it's had. The two big ones being an issue with the computer system. When best buy called LG describing the problem, they knew exactly what is was and they said "This happens all the time with this model". Other issue that took multiple visits was for a leak that was causing an error code and preventing me from using the dishwasher. Two different techs looked at the dishwasher and couldn't find the leak but replaced the parts it could be anyway.
Worst dishwasher. Dissapointed with LG quality
Bought in April 2022. Front control panel cracked a little after a year. Les than 2 years started leaking water from the front (not the gasket). LG told me they wouldn't do anything since it's out of the 1 year warrant. Repair person is $299 just to come out and see if it's covered by the 5 year warranty, not including any non warranty parts. That's half the price of a new unit- ridiculous. Contacted my local HD appliance department and they were more sympathetic but did nothing to help. Spent $700 on a lemon. Not be buying another LG dishwasher and Home Depot should stand by products it sells.
I did a lot of research and read a lot of consumer and verified owner reviews before choosing this model. First thing, it is super quiet! That's a great quality but I chose it for it's ease of cleaning the filter. I had an old machine that was original to the 20+ year old condo. In order to clean the filter I had to dismantle the bottom of the machine, which took hours. Now you just empty the little cup at the bottom. The interior is more spacious than older machines which was a nice surprise There are several washing and drying options including a self-cleaning one. Delivery and installation were on time and efficient. I highly recommend this LG model.
[Rewarded Review] You had one job…….
This is the WORST dishwasher I’ve ever owned BY FAR. At first half the dishes were coming out dirty (especially the ones on the top rack). I used to rinse them off prior to loading the dishewasher. Then since they weren’t getting washed properly, I decided to call Customer Service to talk about the issue. Person instructed me to NOT rinse the dishes as it interfered with the sensor; also she said that I NEEDED to use Cascade Complete (the most expensive dish soap available). It’s been a year now that I’m giving this dishwasher a chance and STILL half of the dishes come out dirty. Very frustrating.
Giving it 5 stars but only two weeks in. Knock Wood. Easy to install, the drain hose has extra hose around it for protection making it a little wider than original hole but easy fix. Ran empty like instructions said, beware very loud when empty on Turbo wash mode. Nothing like this when filled with dishes and normal mode. Very quiet. Has playful end tune that plays when finished. Caught us by surprise. Big difference between old and new for smooth rolling of trays. Excellent buy for cost. Two things would change. Old dishwasher had split trays for silverware - we don't need a double length tray. Sure we could order these. Saved old ones and used them. Seems cycle is longer - minimum 2 hrs. Not a big deal, seems like long time. Overall very happy with choice and recommend for alternative to more expensive dishwashers.
Not long lasting and how their warranty works
Bought another brand in 2019. After 4 years, the motor started making a screeching noise. I contacted LG support since the motor had a 10 year warranty. They are ready to send a free motor but I have to pay for labor (~~300) which is correct per contract. I said i will replace it myself (not difficult) but they are not ready to send till an authorized dealer is engaged and I pay them. This is not in the warranty statement and I said I will send them the motor so they have proof. They didnt budge. So bottom line is, even if the motor has warranty, it will take like 50% of the appliance cost (new) to replace it within warranty period.
Close to Pointless as you can get.
Objective Rating: This product is barely acceptable. I have waited 30 days to write this review in order to properly quantify the results and get used to the appliance. I am someone who loads my dishes 'almost clean', no residue, etc. They come out of 'sort of' clean - ? There is barely any discernable difference after a wash cycle, and I use 'Heavy Wash' , 'Sanitize (highest temp), and 'Heated Dry'. There are no drainage issues, and it was installed properly. Dishwasher is not overloaded. My thoughts are that: 1. there is not enough water being used (my old dishwashwer filled before it ran, imagine that.) 2. the holes in the silverware baskets are perhaps not large enough for proper drainagae and/or there isn't enough water flow (see #1.). Spoons loaded handle-up have dried debri at the tip of the concave end. Glassware and glass bowls come out with dried crud on them. (It would be less aggravating to simply do the dishes by hand.) Perhaps this is the 'new' standard in some sort of water saving dishwasher (much like the 'water saving' clothes washers), and this is what we're left with? I haven't had to purchase a dishwasher in decades, so I don't have another 'new design' purchase to compare it to. But the 20 year-old Kenmore I replaced cleaned just as well.
[Rewarded Review] Repair one month in that was a pretty big hassle.
I have owned this dishwasher for 6 months. Things are working fine now...but within one month of owning it, there was no steam (heat for drying) when we opened the door after the cycle was finished and we were getting multiple error codes. I called LG and spoke to someone who, after minutes of flipping through a binder for answers, told me that I must have an electrician out to ensure everything was fine electricity wise before they would proceed with sending out a repairman. Not ever have I been told this before on any appliance issue. I was frustrated and asked my husband to call and see what response he gets. This time we did get approval for a repairman who came out (with no parts) and, thus, is a two trip repair separated by about two weeks. The appointment making was odd. We were told both for the approval for the initial repair and for the follow-up (once the part was given time to arrive) that we would be contacted by another company to make the appointments. That didn't happen either time and WE were the ones having to contact the repair facilitating company to get an appointment made. Most of this was done on an app and sort of left you wondering whether someone was actually coming or not. Not sure if all of this is where we are due to the pandemic or if this is where we are in new times. My point is...boy did we have to work hard to get our dishwasher repaired one month into owning it. This was my very first LG product of any kind. Not sure I will be doing this again. Of course, it was a computer issue. Thinking the less computerized appliances are better. As for the product now that it is working....it does clean well. The only other negative I can say is, I do wish the prongs were better placed on the bottom basket. Seems like I had more or better placed prongs on my last dishwasher. I do like the fold down prongs that allow you to put bigger items in without putting stress on the prongs.
