Area rug

I love the color of this rug and the quality seems really good. I thought though it would be a little more plush and that is my reason for 4 stars instead of 5. It did arrive quickly which always is a plus.

Safavieh makes the best qulaity rugs! This is my favorite brand for rugs. They are very plush, soft, don't shed and aesthetically pleasing. I love shag rugs, so I knew I needed safavieh for good quality.

Great rug for the price! I DID have to OFFGAS it for more than a week due to the strong smell...Even when I brought it in, it still smelled like chemicals, which...can't be healthy. Once the smell faded, we are enjoying the great looking rug in our family room...Even with lots of traffic, a dog, and a cat, it is holding up very well! I wish they had other sizes!

Wasn't sure I'd like this rug. I thought it was alittle shaggy but once I rolled it out and fluffed it I realized how much I liked it. It looks really cool and different. The cream color is perfect. I'm glad I ordered this rug. Perfect got my room. A real comfy look.

i was so excited when i saw how it looked on the floor. it brings out all the colors that i wanted with the gold accents. i was sceptical at first because of the price. i was thinking that this truly is not going to work because it was so affordable. i am totally glad i took a chance. now my living room is totally elegant and inviting.

Nice carpet

NIce carpet. Not real thick, but it is very soft. I bought it for a bedroom and it works great. I would describe the color as silver. Nice product for the price! I took 1 star way because the rug is actually 6'6" and not 7' as described. I really wanted 7' square as described!

Not stated size

I was disappointed that this rug is not 7' square as stated in the description which was why I ordered it instead of another one I was looking at. The label on the rug clearly states 6.7 x 6.7. The color is a little lighter than I thought it would be but I'm ok with that. I think it is probably worth the money but I would definitely recommend the rug pad since it seems kind of thin.

Love the rug, wish it was darker though

I am a guy, so maybe I don't know what color cream is but this sure looks white to me. Don't get me wrong, I love this rug and I am glad I got it but I thought it would be really light brown. My bad I guess. I have it down in the basement for the laundry room. It is thick and soft and comfortable to walk on. It looks better than just a carpet remnant which I also have throughout the house in various places of various shades and plushes. Once again, I am a simple single guy so don't judge me! This does make the room look a lot better though.

It'll Do For Now

I bought American made shags for the boys' bedrooms and our living room a couple years ago, (from rhymes with bear a lion a beavers.) I'm redecorating one kid's room after he moves out and was looking for a light neutral. While the color is okay, this is quite a step down from what I'm replacing and no where near as dense or comfortable to walk on. Definitely needs a rug pad and not just for sliding. It's very lightweight, maybe weighs 20 lbs or a tad more. The color when first unrolled looks ivory due to yarns being flattened out when rug rolled tight for shipping. It puffs up better with time and vacuuming .Then the color looks much more like the ad picture. (Sorry, couldn't get good shots of this indoors with my own camera.) The yarn is all one color and shiny as is the binding yarn. Similar to my older shags, this rug is power loomed with the hard backing. This arrived with the rug ends protected with cardboard. I think this may help prevent the common problem of crushing damage to corners and ends during shipping. You'll still have to weight down the ends a few days to completely flatten. Cleaning should be pretty easy considering the material, but we're careful not to drop anything greasy on our rugs. Water based spills should come out. The rug I received had no flaws in binding and no snags or discoloration. There was no strong unpleasant odor. If you're looking for super quality with dense high pile shop on, save your pennies and watch for sales. If you're looking for something mainly decorative or "it'll do for now" then this will be okay.
