Not value for money.

Rather expensive. I bought one the same size 5 years ago for half the price. The inner container does not have a handle, so emptying it is more difficult. It is called a '30l' bin but '30l' bin liners are too small for it. But it is the 'value for money' that I am most disappointed in.

Excellent design.

Having used a 'touch bin' in a holiday cottage recently I was impressed with how it worked and decided to get one. I wanted a metal one (trying to cut down on the amount of plastic I use), medium size, and this one fitted the bill. It stays clean, the top fits tightly enough to stop smells escaping and holds the bag securely without the bag showing. It was quite expensive, but worth the money, and there's a 10-year guarantee.

Perfect bin from Brabantia.

This as a wonderful bin and bought at a great price. I did a lot of research and this was the best price. All the items I have purchased from Robert Dyas have been packaged so well that they are well protected and arrive in perfect order. Well worth the money and looks fantastic.

Damaged and poor quality for the price

On unpacking the bin it was damaged, with dents.. seemingly from source and not during delivery, as the packing box was undamaged.

Perfect replacement lid

As my bin is approximately 30 years old, I was so pleased to be able to replace the lid, which had a broken catch. It fits perfectly and looks very modern. The old lid was chrome but I went for a Matt black one this time. Perfect.

Touch Top Waste Bin

Excellent sized bin for a small kitchen space. Quiet and easy opening lid. Easy to change waste bags as the Brabantia ‘G’ size are a perfect fit. Internal container comes out easily due to air vents near bottom of unit. Matt steel finish looks very modern.

Lid is disappointing & retrograde design

I bought this 3 weeks ago to replace the previous version that If had for 22 yrs & had finally bitten the dust. The basket is better designed & no longer required the metal handle to pull out of the bin, as the previous one did. However, I really don’t like to new horizontal & concave design of the lid. The previous one was sloping & angled towards the lip, the new one makes it harder to scrap leftovers from a plate, & water sits st the bottom of the concave when I’ve wiped the exterior of the lid with a dishcloth. Disappointing.

I bought the satin steel finished Bravantia bin 20+ years ago thinking it was 60lt. It still looked great but when I updated my tiny kitchen I wanted a new bin to match the colour of my units. Everything I saw was too big until I found this … exactly the same as before, but the right colour, and 40lt! Now I have exactly what I wanted, it just took a long time to.

Great bin at a great price

Dunelm was the best price on the Internet, beating the manufacturers website Im so glad I picked this colour as it looks great compared to pur old stainless steel one , it should stay looking newer for longer. Its a little different to our old brabantia, as the lid doesn't fit securely on, but its fine, it doesn't fall off. The new design also has 2 bits on the side making it easier to remove the bag. So far im impressed with it

Brilliant Brabantia bin

Really pleased with this Brabantia bin, we had one in the past which lasted years and we replaced it with a cheaper model which was far inferior and broke within weeks. We have gone back to this bin now and it is solid, looks good in our kitchen, easy to take the bin bags out of the middle section. Brilliant.

Best kitchen bin

Brilliant bin. Touch top to open. Opens smoothly and quietly. Simply push down and here the click to close. Very neat and nice looking bin in the kitchen. Love the soft beige colour. Looks minimal and sleak. One star off for price.

I needed to replace my old Brabantia bin (lid lock broke after 17 years), and found exactly what I wanted at Dunelm. Great price for a brand I trust. Great choice of colours. Purchased in black and this bin does what it says on “the bin”. Love the colour which works in my grey kitchen. Bonus which I wasn’t expecting ten free bin liners! Happy with my purchase.

Excellent sized bin for our household of four.

We used to have a 50l Brabantia bin. Not only did the lid clasp fail repeatedly (not closing), leaving us with a stinky utility room, but because the volume was that much larger, the bags tended to last for several days and then split when we were removing them, which was really frustrating.

I have used my bin for 13 years, it still looks good, functtions well. I have recently purchased two for family. Few years ago l sent as a gift to grace my cousin Jenny's beautiful kitchen in Ghana. My family think l am posh to buy an expensive bin . Trust me it's money well spent. I highly recommend it. PS make sure to use the right bin liners

Disappointed

Nice looking waste bin. Previous Brabantia bin had metal handle to pull out inside bin, this one does not. The Brabantia lable/sticker is not placed centrally to the bin handle, so looks odd, was this a ‘second’ ? Also replacement closing mechanism not included while it was with my previous bin. My previous 3lt bin was perfect and lasted 13 years.

How can a bin be so exciting?

Tall slim bin. Good quality as you would expect from Brabantia. Easy open lid. Inner bin lifts out for easy emptying and cleaning. Bin bags tuck in under the inner rim. Matt steel really does not show fingerprints as stated in the description. Expensive but if it lasts ten years as did my last Brabantia bin then it will be good value.

Neat and stylish bin!

Our last touch-lid Brabantia bin lasted nearly 15 years so not unhappy in needing to replace it. We went for a fabulous Platinum coloured touch-lid (30L, round) one that blends beautifully with the greys and taupe shades in our kitchen. A neat and stylish bin, well balanced so won’t get knocked over, and no unsightly overhangs with the bag. Great all round!

Not fit for purpose

I had one of these bins for 12 years until the lid no longer closed so I didn't hesitate to purchase this new one. After only a couple of months the lid mechanism failed, so assuming that I was just unlucky to get a faulty one, I tried a replacement. Well only one month later the same thing happened! Really annoyed as otherwise this is a great bin, but it's totally useless if the lid won't close. This is not a cheap bin so I was expecting the same quality and durability like my previous one. Come on Brabantia you can do much better than this!

Great Features

I bought this bin for non-recyclable rubbish. It's smart, sleek design and neat size means it fits in anywhere. The charcoal colour is restful on the eye and matches my larger Brabantia bin previously bought from Robert Dyas which I use for recyclable waste. One great feature is that I don't have to buy special bags for the bin. It easily takes a black bin
