We installed a new patio and hardtop gazebo and needed a light for it ... After looking at different sites we decided to purchase this one as it was a plug-in as opposed to a hardwire installation, and its height is adjustable via the chain ... I also have it hooked up to a remote control and turn it on from inside the house ... It sheds a good amount of light (depending of course the wattage of bulb you use) and helps at night when taking the dog out for her evening sabbatical, and snow removal in the winter ... We're happy with the purchase ...

We love the look of this in our backyard tiki hut. The quality is good and it provides enough light. Would recommend

Cute and seems good quality. I haven’t put in the glass dome yet because I wanted to make the hook held the weight in case it falls. I like the modern look and it’s perfect for my small patio.

High Quality for a Great Price!

Excellent Quality!! Wet rated outdoor lamp - plenty of heavy gauge grounded wire, with plenty of chain to dress it to the floor (9 feet!). The socket is porcelain too, which I was delighted to see - the best quality socket you can get. The rope the shade is made from is also study and securely wound onto the shade frame. I highly recommend this beautiful outdoor lamp. However, do note, there is no on/off switch, so you will need to plug it in for "on" and simply unplug for "off."

Hanging lamp has no on/of switch

The hanging swag light worked well next to our Murphy Guest Bed. The lamp was very easy to install but we were concerned when we could not find an on and off switch for the lamp. Be aware there is no switch on the cord anywhere. You must buy and use a remote to operate the lamp or hardwire ot to a wall switch. Luckily we had a remote switch that we decided to use. Other than that we were happy with the lamp.

No regrets on this purchase

I have had this for several months now through spring rain and summer sun. It has held up beautifully through it all. I can't expect this to last as long as it would indoors but I am very happy with this light. Looks like it did the day I bought it. Cool look, very durable. There aren't many options for plug in, outdoor lights and I'm glad this was available.

Good looking light that goes anywhere

This is a nicely designed lamp that puts out a nice light. you can place this lamp anywhere you have a plug either indoor or outdoors. It comes with two hooks that allow you to easily hang the chain. It is good to make clear that this light does not have an on/off switch. So you need to plan to plug it in to a switched outlet or use a outlet that can be program or you can always plug and unplug the lamp. I really like the shade, it breaks up the light nicely.

I like the lamp, though it's smaller than expected. The dimensions are right there on the product page, but going from the product photos, it seems larger and I thought it would be more 'full-sized' if I can put it that way. It has a very long cord with a three-pronged plug, but the light doesn't have a switch of any kind, making it mostly suitable on a switched outlet or hard wired to an electrical box in the ceiling. I think it's primarily for outdoor use, because of the heavy-gauge black wire which, for us at least, doesn't harmonize well with our interiors. We don't have a switched outlet or electrical box in the ceiling - and plugging/unplugging isn't really an option. For now it's going to go in my son's room - he likes it - and I'll probably wind up installing an in-line switch as the best way to get power to the bulb. Also, the chain is pre-threaded on the wire, but only every 6 links. Unless it's taut, it doesn't give a tidy look, and, if you don't need all of the chain, as we don't, some link-bending is needed to remove any unused chain from the wire (you can't slip it off because of the plug). I think it's all a bit tricky, but a handsome light if you have the right setup.

Nice Design

Airy and yet substantial, the fixture consists of two parts. The outermost part is the plastic rattan section. Inside, there is a separate glass section that is frosted in color. It’s a very nice outdoor light fixture.
