Hinges are definitely heavy duty, but they have a lot of play in them so it’s hard to line up gates properly too much room for SAG.

Still waiting for the correct gate to arrive.

These were purchased to replace smaller, broken hinges on our gate. The hinges are large, and sturdy. They were easy to install, and should last a long time. We are very happy with the results.

The hinges work great. I have only had them installed for a few days but after a couple tries I learned how to set the self-closing to get a 100 percent latching when I release the gate. If someone is looking for a sturdy gate hinge this is it.

These hinges seem pretty sturdy so far and don’t seem to struggle with my gate. It’s probably 80-90lbs and is about 5 feet wide. The tension is set to the default the hinges were set at and seems to be good for this gate. It still closes pretty heavily at times so I may ratchet it down a bit if possible. They were tough to put on because of the tension in them and I didn’t think to lower that tension to make installation easier until after they were on. Oh well. Good hinges for the price!

The the hinges are nice and support the heavy custom wooden gates for the fence. The closer adjustments are hard to adjust. Plus the instructions for the self closure adjustments are lacking details and hints for a softer closing.

Worked well to replace hinges on my driveway gate that keep breaking. These appear to be much sturdier than the original hinges that were installed. The only thing that was somewhat misleading is the spring tension on the hinge can be reduced but not completely removed. I was worried that my lift master gate operator would stop the gate mid cycle due to the spring tension that would make the gate think it had a hard interference but no issues so far 1 month in

Bottom line up front: this is a serious, heavy set of hinges, but it's not for casual do-it-yourselfers. The springs inside these hinges (they're self-closing) are very strong and just about impossible for one person to hold open in a position which allows the person to screw the hinge fast to the gate or gatepost. Also, the hinges are meant to be installed on a very flush, trim, level gate with level, flush posts. I was trying to install them on a garden gate I built myself from construction lumber and a heavy wire hog panel, and install the gate on pressure-treated posts in my garden fence. The posts aren't level or even because the ground isn't level (it's on a slight slope), so this was a hinge too far. I ended up using simpler gate hinges from a local hardware store, and will save these hinges for a more sophisticated project. Again, the hinges themselves are a first-class piece of gear, but they weren't what I should have been trying to install on my garden gate.
