You would think for $50 a light fixture for these little plastic lights, they would at least come with a bulb. Kind of cheesy material. I’m sure it’s made in China.

The rubber gasket kept coming off and I had to buy gasket glue and also cut it to make it stay on. The lights should come with the rubber gasket already attached.

Not as pictured and 7" wide rather than 8"

I sound disappointed but I was replacing an older model of this same light and I just had to buy it and hope it was not 8" as it said. These are aluminum and slightly wonky in the casketing but they cost about $23-70 across the web and are difficult to find. I picked these out when I built my home rather than a $300 per fixture similar light that my architect recommended and saved almost $2500 of my lighting costs. I have 9 lights outside (5 at doors and 2 each at my two garage doors) My siding is 7 inches wide so a larger fixture would not fit. I am buying 9 in white and 6 backups in black (white are hard to find) and searching them out across every lighting site I can find to fill my order. The lid edge has changed slightly since 2005 when I bought my first set and although the face is all that has broken (at the screws) the face of the current model is a fraction off at the screw holes so I must replace the whole thing. They are cast aluminum so they could not really hold up in my coastal location for more than 15 years. I originally bought 3 extra but had to replace the last one this year. I am painting my house and will probably break many when I take them down and with the slight difference in the edge of the lid I will need to replace them all anyway. I looked for something comparable to how these look and I could not find anything at any cost.
