[Rewarded Review] Gunna be cool!

I've looked for over a year to find a bathroom fan and light that has a night light function so I dont wake myself up if I'm using the bathroom late at night. Bright lights will restart your sleep cycle, ya know. I haven't worked this into my install schedule but it looks like a simple install. I'll need to find a proper light switch for it first also. Be sure to jump to the instructions before buying so you can get the right one.

[Rewarded Review] Elegant and sleek exhaust fan with light

This exhaust fan with LED light is easy to install and took me about two hours. The instruction manual was well written and designed. The lighting was a perfect touch to upgrade the bathroom. All in one system. Fan isn’t too loud and annoying like my last fan because it was old. Noise level 1-5 would be 3 in my opinion and the humidity level in my bathroom is decreased.

[Rewarded Review] Modern touch of design and low profile!

I recently grabbed this for our children’s bathroom because there is no vent fan in there. The install was typical and straightforward as most vent fans are these days. But I was more impressed by the low profile design and the options! The nightlight settings are my favorite because we now use that instead of the wall outlet nightlight. The only thing that I didn’t like about this unit was that the switch that they recommend to control all of the different settings is not included. I would have been ok with paying $5-$10 more and have the switch included. Other than that, this is a great light/bath fan combo! But I would buy the switch while you are in the store already 😁

[Rewarded Review] Fan and light combo that is classy, bright and runs quietly.

This Sones bathroom fan with its LED light, both classy and well made. The packaging kept all components neatly in place and protected with plastic wrap. The unit came with most everything required except the switch. Be sure to purchase a proper switch(s), they recommend a Three-rocker-switch control (read the side of box). All wiring has tabs on the wires so you know what component your connecting your wiring to; its very easy to wire up. Once you wire in the house all you need to do is plug in the fan and light.

[Rewarded Review] Nice looking bath fan and light with modern features

This bath fan has a lot of nice features, works well and is quiet, but not silent. To access all of the features, you will need to purchase the Akicon switch. You can also use any 3 function switch and utilize most of the features. It has an LED light, and LED ring night light, an exhaust fan and on the Akicon switch, you can select the light temperature/color. I dont have room for another switch so I wired the fan and light to come on together on a single switch. The air flow on the fan is really good and it is not loud, just noticeable enough that you won't forget and leave it on. The brushed nickel finish is painted plastic rather than metal, but you don't notice one it is installed. I put this fan in place of an older fan that used a slightly larger hole. I made a frame to fill in the spaces and used aluminum tape to fill any air gaps to the attic. The circular light and grill attach to the motor housing with spring clips that pull it flush to the ceiling even if the motor housing doesn't mount completely level. I couldnt get the plug for the night light on the cover to go into the socket on the motor housing. I left it off since I wasn't planning to use it anyway. The product comes well packaged in a cardboard box with inserts and plastic bags to protect the various components. The instructions are nicely illustrated and the the product's wiring is clearly labeled for function. Overall, this was an excellent replacement for a loud older fan with less airflow.

[Rewarded Review] AKICON 110 CFM Brushed Nickel bath fan

Review of this bathroom fan. It uses a 4” duct and has a built in damper to cut down on drafts. The 3 tier brushed finish is well done. The product is Energy Star Rated and uses a 5watt led light so it’s not blindingly bright. The light on this unit is warm color. This light/fan also has a blue colored night light feature. This is really nice to have. Ever had a late night #1 appointment and be startled awake by a bright light? This feature doesn’t fully wake you up unless aim is an issue but that’s another matter.

[Rewarded Review] Good light/fan, but difficult installation

I like the light, but the installation is not easy for existing construction. What I liked: the light is big and bright. It has three settings, and the warm setting is quite nice. The fan is much more powerful than my previous fan, not much louder, and it does a great job at clearing the steam after a shower. I'm very pleased with it's performance. What I don't like. In order to operate the night light you need a special controller, which is not included. The installation was difficult mainly because the wires for the light and fan do not fit within the fan. This requires the use of a junction box to make the connections in, which I did not have in place. Luckily I installed the light in the bathroom of the second floor, which meant that i had access to the fan through the attic, so I was able to install a box. But it made the installation time much longer.

[Rewarded Review] Powerful and Stylish Bathroom Combo

I got this bathroom fan to replace an older fan in a bathroom that I was doing a makeover on - primarily replacing all the older brushed nickel hardware with black hardware. The black metal casing on this unit complimented the makeover. Pros - It's a well made unit. The metal casing is solid and flawless and the light cover is uniform in texture/color. It's powerful: the 110 cfm capability pulls steam/moisture out of the bathroom quickly and efficiently. It's quiet. Just as steady, low hum that remains in the background. It has multiple lighting features in addition to a nightlight. Although I needed to currently install this on a single switch, it has multiple options available - though it would require a 3-rocker switch to be ideal. Install was moderate - no surprises for me as I install bathroom fans on the regular. Overall a nice, stylish fan that combines style and functionality.

[Rewarded Review] Very quiet & Decorative Bathroom Fan

Let me start by saying I love the design of this bathroom fan. It blends nicely with the decor in our bathroom and the internal motor operation is very quiet. The lighting ambience is very bright for just about any bathroom size; however, in order to utilize the various lighting color levels (2700K, 4000K & 5500K) you will need to buy the manufacturer’s wall switch separately. If you don’t buy it and use a standard existing wall switch, you will experience random light levels on it’s on when activated by the switch (FYI, usually the 2700K level is mostly illuminated). Another issue for the DYI installers to be aware of, the wiring box is very small to forced the excess wiring back inside for installation. I tend to leave 4-5” of excess wiring for future changes like this one, but trying to that much stuff 12-gauge wiring in that small space is a challenge. My final issue with this design is the clips that hold the light fixture in place. Like most bathroom fan fixtures, that have 2 metal clips to keep it in place to the metal box frame. This fan has the metal clips, but they’re held into place by plastic loops which makes me less satisfied with design quality and possible easy breakage when it comes to constant removing the fixture for cleaning like I always do at least twice a year. For these reasons, I gave it a generous 4 stars despite the required separate purchase of the custom wall switch.

[Rewarded Review] Bathroom upgrade

This 3 in one bathroom upgrade was easy install except for the electric. It requires 2 additional hot leads . I had a led dome lamp in bathroom already but this has a exhaust fan and nightlight. Removed old light and ceiling electric fixture. Cut hole in ceiling next to ceiling beam (to make stable installation) . Put bucket at top of ladder to catch debris. Inserted fan mechanism in hole and mounted to beam with provided screws.made the required electric adjustments including a 3 way toggle switch. First toggle switch was for light. Turn on it's 2700k toggle again 4000k toggle again 5500k . Which ever one you stop on it remembers it for next time. The second toggle switch is for nightlight. It has two colors, dim blue or dim yellow. Third toggle switch is fan on or off. Very nice upgrade. First time taking shower mirror did not fog up like before putting it this exhaust fan.

[Rewarded Review] Very sophisticated bathroom fan, light and nite light. Very high-tech.

This review comes in two pieces: 1) The fan, light, and night light combination in the ceiling and 2) the companion humidistat with fan, light, and Nite light switch. PRODUCT OPERATION: First, regarding the products, I like the ceiling fan/light system. It’s large enough to catch a lot of moisture without fogging up my bathroom mirror. The main light is bright enough, as is the night light. The night light can be switched to display two colors: iridescent blue and soft white. Each system can be controlled independently. I like the humidistat automatically turning on the fan. The second review is the main control switch. It has switches for the fan, main light, and Nite light. What’s amazing is the switch has an integrated humidistat control panel to set when the fan comes on and for how long after the humidity is gone. It's fancy stuff. PRODUCT INSTALLATION: Installation was a bit tricky. Three issues: 1) Since the documentation's electrical diagrams were unclear, I had to call support for help. The support team was excellent in sending me additional drawings clarifying the connections between the switch and ceiling unit. Since the power going to the ceiling unit is 110V, I used two standard 14/2 house wiring cables. Make sure you don’t use low-voltage wiring. It’s not low voltage. The two cables allow for three circuits (Fan/light/Nite light), neutral and earth ground. All neutral white wires are tied together in the ceiling unit. 2) The switch box must accommodate five connections (power, neutral, fan, light, and nite light) to the control switch. That’s a lot of wire nuts in a small box. I used small wire nuts. (PS: this system trips my GFI circuit. I don’t think it’s designed for GFI protection.) I labeled all the wires in the box to know what wires went to the matching wire on the switch. 3) I find the electrical box in the fan assembly too small to house all the wire and wire nuts for connections to the fan and lights. I did cram them all in, but I shouldn’t have to. This should be designed larger. All in all, this is a nice system, once I got everything installed, I have yet to install the exhaust ductwork, but that’s outside this review. It took me about 10 hours to install the system including cutting a small hole in the drywall to drill a hole in the header for the two new wires and a hole in the bathroom ceiling by a stud for the fan/light unit. I am happy with this unit but installation takes time.

[Rewarded Review] Great fan and light for a bathroom!

Oh, am I happy, with this light/fan bathroom fan! We had an older fan / light in our main bathroom that is so outdated and not working at all, we decided to get this Bathroom Fan with a light (and not to mention it's dimmable) to replace the the old fan that no longer works. Not only is it easy to install but it also looks great on the ceiling. I want to replace the second half-bath with the same light/fan system!

[Rewarded Review] Attractive, Quiet, Versatile

Akicon Round Decorative White Exhaust Fan with Dimmable LED light is crafted with premium materials while bringing style and a modern look to your room. The instructions are clear and precise. Installation can be completed by most anyone familiar with home repairs including basic electrical work. This fan moves more air than the builder grade fan that came with the house. The 110 CFM clears moisture in medium sized rooms up to 100 sq. feet. Moisture can cause mold and health issues. The noise level is 2-sone which is equivalent to the sound of a refrigerator running. We are replacing and older fan that came with the home. Dimensions needed are a minimum of 7.5 inches x 7.25 inches for the housing. Check before beginning. The installation manual has several ways for installation. LED integrated light (No Bulbs Needed); brightness-1000 lumens (75 Watts); Dimmable, Energy Efficient. The housing is corrosion resistant, galvanized steel and built to withstand moisture. This product would be great for the bathroom, laundry room, anywhere you need to remove excess moisture. I love the night light feature, (3.5 W) I can have my receptable back where I have the night light plugged in. Attractive, brighten up the room. Nice Product!

[Rewarded Review] Nice, quite, bathroom exhaust fan

Used as a replacement to existing exhaust fan. The exhaust fan is light weight compared to old by about 2 pounds. 2 inches smaller on on the sides yet delivers the same volume of air exhaust. The light has 3 color shades, wife prefers daylight. Night light can be either white or blue. To use the lights individually, you would need a 5 wire lead and a special switch from the manufacturer for about another $40 that also includes a humidity sensor. The documentation provides no wiring information. I tied the fan, light and night light to the same existing power leads. When the switch is turned on, fan and lights all turn on. A quick on, off, on of the switch changes the light color. The documentation also contains no information on certification but there is a label on the fan that indicates ETL, HVI and Energy Star certificate. See pic. The power connection area is too small to contain all the wires and wing nuts.

[Rewarded Review] Difficult wiring

I picked this Akicon bathroom fan and light fixture for our master bath. It is quiet and the fan seems powerful. The light isn't real bright and I recommend having another light in your bathroom. The built in night light was a pain to wire up using a single switch. The fan and mounting box are decent quality. These feature a 3 year warranty. Overall, I would recommend this light.

[Rewarded Review] Super Quiet Fan

Not only is the appearance of this bathroom fan great, it is quiet and, if you get the recommended switch, comes with five features. I have threatened to replace my bathroom fan/light for many years because of its noise and age. When I saw this Akicon fan and light, I immediately got it. I had to order the switch separately but the Akicon switch allows me to utilize all of the fixture's features. The dimmable LED light is equal to a 60W incandescent, so there is plenty of light. I love the nightlight feature. While we have a night light as you enter the bathroom, this light is over the toilet just outside of the shower. At 110 CFMs, this fan moves more moist air than any bath fan I have had. That is a good thing because I just had to have the ceiling repaired from moisture getting beneath the paint. With this fan, I will never have to worry about that problem again. I really like the round light cover versus the standard square or rectangular that I have had all my life. And, it is not overly modern looking: just different. I was not real sure about which way the duct connector went to ensure it opened and closed properly. Akicon took care of this in the design. There is an indentation on the top of the side the connector goes on and a ridge on the top side of the connector that goes into the indentation. You have to look for both of these things as they are not obvious, but once you see them, there is not a normal way to get the connector on upside down. This is a great product!

[Rewarded Review] Sleek and easy install.

Home Depot shipped this bath fan very quickly after I ordered it on line, arriving intact with all parts and pieces. I because I like the 110 CFM output of the fan and mostly I like the sleekness and the 15 watt LED light. Our bathroom will be cleared of steam and odor quickly. The quality is very good. Installation is easy with the enclosed instructions. It will work out as planned. I like it.
