The rug is a mix of looped and cut wool giving it a beautiful, forgiving texture in an abstract organic pattern. It is perfect for our Spanish revival house which has original Deco period plasterwork and architectural details. The natural / ivory is a true neutral with more natural (taupe) than ivory color. It is slightly darker in person than in the product photos. Our wall color is Behr Swiss Coffee which is slightly warmer and creamier than this rug. I was worried that gold / ivory would be too yellow for this room but it might have also worked. Great, plush thickness that feels great underfoot.
