The shape of the metal is very pretty, but the glass is very plain and covers the shapes. I bought it because it will be easy to replace bulbs. It’s close to a heater/air conditioner, soI didn’t use a chandelier that would need more cleaning. It gives good light for a large room. It’s on a dimmer.

Simple elegance! The Overland Park brushed nickel semi-flush mount is really lovely and I'm pleased with the purchase. I had various electrical work done including installation of this and one other light in my kitchen. Since the electrician was a 20-year pro, he had no trouble installing. I only had 60w bulbs after installation so the light is not as bright and has a yellow cast. I'll be purchasing 75w daylight bulbs going forward. The shade is quite thick, etched white glass so it can handle brighter bulbs.

awesome fixture

This fixture brightens up my kitchen and makes it look 100x better than it did previously. Very very bright. The initial shade bowl had a few defects in it and the build.com team shipped out a new one no questions asked. Very happy overall.

Just came in the mail yesterday and husband installed it right away. It's in our 12.5 x 15.5 ft bedroom with 9 ft ceilings. We put 3500K LED bulbs that are 1600 lumens each and our room is very well lit. This space could have handled a larger fixture but we didn't want a chandelier hanging down in this particular room. We are happy with the light it puts off and may order again for another room. One thing that is only noticeable when light is off- the upper rim of the glob is thicker, thus the white inner lining (paint?) doesn't show through as much so looks a bit less white (not an issue for us though). Very nice lighting and that was the goal.

Beautiful hall or entry light. I installed this one in the hall but now want one for the entry way as well. Took literally 10 minutes to take down the old one and install this one. Easy to read and follow directions. The 3 lights allow for very bright lighting and illuminate the entire hallway. The frosted lamp shade allows light to come through but hides the actual bulbs, which is nice. Love the brushed nickel hardware too. Looks beautiful.

This Overland Park light is well made and fairly easy to install. I particularly like the way its design allows for mounting the “lightweight frame” to the ceiling box first, then attaching the thick glass shade to the frame. All together, it took about one hour to remove the old light and install the new one. The best part is that it looks even better than the picture.

For the back hallway , that always has seemed dark and dreary, we wanted to light it up. So we got this fixture and put it up. What a nice difference it made. This one will hold 3, 60 watt bulbs and has a nice white globe that does not affect the color of the light emitted. I am not sure what the globe is made of but I do not think it is glass but some kind of poly carbonate perhaps. It is rigid and light and does the job of making a nice looking fixture admirably.

Classic and sleek modern design. If you have an older home or just want to update your lighting this sleek and modern light fixture is perfect. The instructions are not the easiest to follow if you do not have fair at best electrical expertise. Took about an hour to remove the old and install the new. This may take two people to install depending on your comfort zone. I was able to install on my own. I used Home Depot's 60 watt ecosmart LED bright white bulbs (3). They give off tons of bright light. Plan to change out two other hall lights with the same fixtures.
