Before considering this review I must state that I used this fixture off label as a temporary shower fixture. The viability of using it for this adaptation was hindered by the manufacturers design choices of (a) terminating the supply spout to a non standard threaded female collar (although I suspect moen roman tub spouts fit nicely), (b) intentionally designing the hot & cold valve core stems to accept only moen handles that were more expensive than I had anticipated. With that said after some improvised fitting solutions for the supply spout this mounted to the deck solidly and provided a compact mixing valve valve with the rapid convenience of pex connections saving me time, $$$ & #*@^/!!. When it functions the handle to valve stem action is smooth flow and clean termination. Finding the correct temperature combinations is fast, but I could see where a person might want a slower more intentionally gradual mixing valve for use with young children. This item does what need it to do and I can appreciate it for that, but the fixture has a distressed finish from its manufacture.

Whoever installed my soaking tub and built the surround over did it! 1" of ply wood and then tile so I BARELY had enough value to get through it but it did. Has been installed for 6 months and still working great
