Best smoker box ever..

I have the Napolean Prestige Pro 665 that came with a built in smoker tray. The bill in isn'as deep or wide as their stainless steel smoker box. It allows me to place it anywhere in the grill simply by removing one of the burner covers. The beauty of the design is that if fits perfectly stable where the burner covers sit.. well constructed and provides excellent smoke to my cooks.

This smoker box is so easy to use! Just put some wood chips in, throw it on grill, and thats it. Gives food such nice smokey flavour! Box is pretty strong too, didn't bend or warp after many uses. If you like to grill, you need this!

This fits perfectly above the burner. It can be used with the burner continuously on or off after the wood chips are lighted. Air flow is sufficient to have wood chips completely burnt to generate smoke.

Versatile smoke option

Have the Napoleon prestige 500 grill. Was using the Napoleon round stainless tube to add some flavor to food. While performing well, the tube are not as convenient to use as the smoker box. The tube will do quick cooks, but not ideal for longer smoking or deeper smoke flavor. The ss smoker box has more volume and you can refill easily. I have not noticed any temperature drops or output of the grill while using the smoker box. You can place over a burner to use, maybe replace a heat tent (haven't tried yet). Adjust burner to get the amount and type of smoke you want. You could use soaked wood(chips,chunks) or dry. The size of the box allows you to split chunks up or use chips, where as the tube really need wood chips. This gives you some options on your source and types of wood. Build quality is is better than other manufacturers that I've seen or used before. Lid is easy to remove for refills if needed, ample room to mix wood types for custom flavor. Have used for pizza, chicken, beef flavor and smokes. For me, the cost to value ratio seemed like a no brainer and usage has confirmed. If you own a Napoleon Prestige or higher, this is yet another accessory to help exploit its capabilities, highly recommend their products!

Excellent smoker box!

This is an excellent way to have a smoker without buying a whole smoker. I have a good Napoleon Bbq and really wanted to use it as a smoker. This box does the trick super well! You can still control the heat with your bbq settings even using the back broiler burner and have lots of amazing smoke with indirect heat. The box does fit in my smoker ok, below the grates but I would make sure it fits right before buying. Great buy for the money!!!

NOT suitable for LEX series bbq

This item is inaccurate in its specification, it is not suitable for the LEX series Napoleon bbq as per Bunnings website. Please speak to Napoleon directly to get the correct smoker box attachment for the LEX series.

Smoker Box

I bought two of these as 1 didn't quite get as smokey as I wanted. The product works great but tends to burn hotter at the back than the front for some reason.

My first use of the smoke box was cooking four cowboy steaks. It works great it put nice consistent smoke in the grill. Very easy to use. I would recommend it anyone who wants to get smoke flavor with their grill.

Heavy duty

I have been using smoke tubes with fairly good results on those cooks where I don’t want to run my smoker. This is a heavy duty, made for use, and not a generic tool. Well worth the minimal cost for anyone who runs Napoleon
