Easy to install and works great!
The only drawback is, I wish they would have made the hitch bar a tad longer. Other than this, it worked out great. I opted not to use the screws that came with it, as the screws just didn't look long enough to grab and stay into the post where needed. Those screws would have caused the hitch to come loose within 5 or 6 uses, as most people don't "softly" shut a gate and tend to let it slam shut.

what can you say, it works as designed. paint finish was great.
Works great at top and bottom of gate.
Great latch for the price. I put one at top of gate and one at bottom and connected the 2 with a small chain. It's windy here and the bottom would get warped. Thus fixed the problem and works great.
Must add wire or string
This latch is not spring loaded. Once the bar latches, there is no way to open the latch from the other side as with most gate latches. Instead, the instructions say to tie a wire (not included) to the latch top and drill a hole through the fence and feed the wire through it so that you can pull the wire to lift the latch on the other side so that you can open the gate. To my mind, such a contraption is not intuitive or user friendly and is the result of just dumb, careless design.
