Defective-had to return. Screws broke off in door on pre drilled holes. Had to dig out.

The slide bolt is great, but as another reviewer stated THE SCREWS ARE A NIGHTMARE! The first screw to set in, after tapping a pilot hole, snapped the danged head clear off with about 1/8 post sticking out. UGH. 30 minutes later of gentle hasping down and I had that mess flush and had to start again after securing a set of steel screws colored antique brass.

I like this bolt for it's finish and slim profile. However, the profile is so slim that it won't work for me. Your door and jamb must be absolutely tight and touching, otherwise you won't be able to use. I had about 1/8" gap between door and jamb at top of door where I needed to install. Even with that small gap, I can't mount the strike plate and have the bolt line up to go in the hole. There just is no wiggle room.
