Regret buying this sandbox

The sand is always soaked after it rains, even when closed up and covered with a tarp. I mean soaked through where there are sometimes small puddles in it. I think it's because the liner absorbs the water. Also, the liner has a tear in it after only 1 month of occasional use. I think the whole liner idea is not a good one.

Overall gets the job done

I purchased this for my three year old to put under his play set. He loves it. The build was interesting. First, I used the instructions to build and nothing would line up for the top to close. I had to fabricate and change somethings up to get it the lid to close. If you know anything about woodworking or building you should be good.

DISAPPOINTED

The assembly was fairly easy, took about an hour with 2 adults. Everything was labeled correctly. HOWEVER, this wood is thin and when you screw into the wood it split in several places. We glued up BUT we shouldn't have to do that. ALSO, got to the last steps, attached the top 2 panels (lid) and they were too large to close correctly- 2 inches too large. Someone missed that during quality inspection! We had the lid cut down to make it work instead of sending back because my granddaughter's birthday is a few days away. When we moved it to have the lid cut to the correct size, the screws striped on one of the hinges for one side of the lid. This is very flimsy! I would recommend for the price but just know what you are getting!

I absolutely loved this sandbox for my two kids. Great price. Instructions were a little confusing but a great bonding with my 1 %26 2 year old. They loved that they helped mommy build it.

very pretty with the wood. the sides that become the seats are very sturdy because although rated for kids, of course the adults sat on them as well. very pleased with this purchase. Love that the seats become the cover and keeps critters out of the sand.

was missing hinges... had to go buy hinges to put it together..

Wooden sandbox

Easy to assemble. We used 400 lbs of sand which fits perfectly and allows the lids/benches to close securely. Our 4 yr old grandson loves it!

Don't Bother: Not Real Wood, Hinges Break

Hinges broke on first use. I replaced them with steal versions and the wood split a day later on two of the doors. The screws do not stay in the wood because it’s a pulp wood, not solid wood like they claim. Use your money toward a better quality product. This is not it.

We are pleased with this sandbox! Bought it for our two kids, aged eight and five. It has plenty of space for them to play. Took my husband less than an hour to put together. Would recommend!

Most important is that my niece loved it. i also purchased a beach tent to fancy it up a little and to protect her from too much sun.

Doesn’t last long

Wood turned gray within one year. Screws to doors rotted/fell out and we rarely even opened and closed the doors. Not sure if I’d buy again.

Falls apart quickly

The hinges and screws are too small. causing the door/top to fall apart almost immediately. The wood is thin and splits easily from drilling to close to edge with said hinges/screws. We redid it with better sized hinges, and it is now staying together. Would not purchase again.
