[Rewarded Review] A builder quality over cooktop hood insert by Akicon

This 36” over cooktop hood insert by Akicon will provide most homeowners with standard cooktops and ranges all the power they need to remove cooking odors and steam from boiling pots. However, its 600 cfm blower may not be powerful enough for commercial style, high power 15,000 - 25,000 btu burners. This unit is an insert meaning it is not free standing but must be install in a metal or wooden hood or upper cabinet. Although the enclosed instructions say the minimum mounting height is 24” from cooktop to the bottom of the insert, many building inspectors will insist on a minimum height of 30” to all combustible surfaces so check with your local inspector. Akicon lists a maximum height of 30”.

[Rewarded Review] This is the Range Hood that you will love for many years to come.

The Akicon Range Hood is built very sturdy and assembled well for an easy install. I disassembled it for installation to reduce the weight and found it to be very well made. The vent blower has a large diameter fan so that it can exhaust the heat fast without running at high speed which makes the vent hood nice and quiet when in operation. The exposed surfaces are all stainless steel, so they are easily cleaned and shine all the time. The two lights are LED and a very bright white, so they light up the stove top nicely. This was an easy install so I would recommend this Hood to anyone.

[Rewarded Review] Awesome range hood insert

I'm very impressed with the design of this unit. We are going to convert ours to ductless. It comes with the directions to do so and even includes a charcoal filter for such. The grids are removable and remond me of a high end commercial kitchen hood vent. I'm really excited for the carpenter to arrive this week to install the unit with our custom designed shell. It comes with LED lights. I wired it to a cord just to hear the fan run. It was very, very, very quiet. The lights are quite bright.

This hood vent is great! Needed this size for my custom kitchen vent hood. Light is perfect and fan options are good and it is not too noisy.

[Rewarded Review] Quiet range hood vent!

We were looking to build a drywall box and use an inserted range vent for our new kitchen layout. We picked up the Akicon 36” model due the size of the vent hood we were building and the 36” gas range we needed to vent. So far we love the function of this vent. It’s fairly quiet in operation but more importantly, it sucks! No more food smells all over the house! Love it.

The Akicon 36" stainless steel vent hood with intergrated led lights is a very well engineered, stylish exhaust vent hood. The hood has very nice removable metal vent panels that are easily removable for cleaning. The hood has two very bright led lights, and they also give you two replacement lamps for the future. The unit comes with everything needed to install it. It comes with the top adapter to connect to the ductwork, along with a backdraft damper built in. The unit also includes a carbon filter to help clean the air from smells.

[Rewarded Review] It’s Nice ! Very nice !

So this thing is very very nice. It arrived quickly and the box had a small dent or two in it but the hood itself was pristine so no problems with shipping. Unboxing it I was impressed with the quality of this build. The materials appear to be top notch and the fact that it came with a normal plug meant I could test it right out of the box! On The lowest setting I could not even tell the fan was on until I put my hand at the back. At the highest setting this thing moved a ton of air just watch the video to see how impressed we were haha. Anyways we love this thing and cannot wait to install it. Oh and it even came with a spare set of LED lights which is as awesome as it is rare for a company to include. Great product that we are very happy with!
