I think there are better options

Bought this fan because we have a Hunter fan exactly like this one installed in accompanying rooms. Install was going great unti it came time to install the Light Kit Assembly- the light pull chain broke. This means you can't install the retainer and light globe. Since the hangar bracket, wiring, and fan were installed, I decided to call Hunter Customer Service to replace the defective part. It took a very long time with Customer Service to explain - yes,I bought this product from Home Depot (here is the receipt); yes, the pull chain is broken; yes, I'll send you a picture; yes, I'm positive it's broken (see the picture I sent). It took a long time to communicate to the customer rep that I needed the entire Light Kit Assembly because the pull chain is hard-wired in this part. We'll send out a new part right away. Guess what? The wrong part arrived. So back on the line to Customer Service. I got a knowledgeable rep on the phone this time and, once again, have a replacement part on the way, hopefully. My advice? Buy Hampton Bay fans. Their Minka Lighting Customer service is much better and quality is as good or better than Hunter Fans. By the way, this Hunter Pro's Best Five Minute 52 in fan doesn't push as much air as other Hunter fans I've installed.

I had three of these installed in my home (bedrooms) about six months ago. Two are very quiet and move a lot of air. The one in my bedroom (of course!) makes a little noise and has a slight wobble. It's an older home, so I think it is an uneven ceiling and not the fan, especially since the other two are whisper quiet!

Excellent fan! Easy to install, and it is so quiet!

It indicated that it could be flush mounted but it couldn’t. But we installed with Mount and are just hopeful it doesn’t take someone’s head off.

Not quiet

This Hunter fan is replacing a 15 year old Hunter fan whose bearings had gotten noisy. Even though the fan looks similar to the previous model, which doesn’t exist anymore, this fan is noisy from the start. We had always appreciated the quiet operation of our old fan. I have to run a sound machine to cover the fan noise.

Can't handle two switches

Fan only operates on a single switch. We can't use our slider with this fan, so we have to operate the fan by using its pull chain.

This ceiling fan is very beautifully designed. Prompt delivery. We paid for installation thru Angie's list through Mayfair and he was great as well!!

Great fan!

Overall, a great fan. Light bulbs included was a pleasant surprise. The only thing I don’t like is that the toggle switch to change the fan rotation is under the globe. I have a high cathedral ceiling and need to bring a tall ladder in to reach it.

Great fan

Easy installation, great for 8 ft ceiling, very nice looking.

Second fan met expectations

First fan shipped hummed, with or without the blades. Also the light globe could not be installed on the lower switch housing, the threaded rod to hold the globe was to short. And the wire harness to connect to the house wiring was about half the normal length. Hunter made it right by replacing the whole fan. Second fan is very quite and looks great, I am happy with it. To return the first fan I needed to print the return label for Fedex, glad I had a printer.

Thankful for A Review

Installed this fan in our bedroom without an issue. Installation was straight forward. Turned it on and discovered the motor humming was too loud. I went back and read more reviews for this item and found one new owner had the same issues as their fan had been connected to a dimmer switch. They replace the dimmer switch and no noise. Ours was connected to a dimmer switch as well. Replaced that with a regular switch and the hum was gone. All is good. Thank you for that information in your review!

Hunter pros best

Have three of these in my home i can put one together blindfolded. Really is easiest ceiling fan to put together. Runs very quiet. I put in brighter white (5000k) led bulbs because i like it bright in my room. Super satisfied with Hunter and the way this fan is made.

Love the fan, but received with broken light fixture globe. Hunter took no responsibility. Home Depot would only offer to return the whole CF package (a delay I could not accept). So I bought new globe at my cost.

Disappointed

My bad I assume it had a remote.....the other model need not have pull cords...only worked with the remote. I have this fan which I bought about three years ago....has pull cords and remote....why did you change it...disappointed.
