Cheap

This lamp is not great quality. The base comes in pieces that you screw together and they didn't line up right, so it looked cheap. Also the metal material was scratched in several places. The shade is kind of glittery, It reminded me of "space age" like the Jetsons cartoon. Not what I was going for.

Love this modern, sturdy lamp

Love my new lamp! The base is quite heavy, which is a huge plus, as this is what makes a lamp sturdy. All it took was screwing three pieces together, and putting the lamp shade on. The shade is beautiful. It may be a tiny bit feminine, as the outer layer is almost shimmery (it's hard to explain--there are no sparkles or shimmer, but the material isn't like your typical lamp shade). I love the modern feel of it, though. Simple and sleek. As a whole, the lamp is not big. If I had read the dimensions I would have known that. It may look a bit small in my living room, but I plan to use it in there anyway. Would be wonderful for a bedroom or office. This is more than I would normally spend on a lamp, which is the only (kind of) negative thing about it. Otherwise, I'm very happy with my purchase!
