Reviews
I've used this for several things - fried eggs, quesadillas, grilled cheese, bacon, pancakes. It's a pretty large griddle, so I not expecting perfect heat distribution to all the far edges, but I have not had any issues with uneven cooking. What is very important is to let this thing heat up for about 4 to 5 minutes before placing your food on it - this really helps food not stick and makes cleaning it afterwards very easy. I have not had any issues with the handle getting hot after being on the stove for a decently long time. It feels well-made and sturdy and I think this will be used in our house for a long time. Adding to this review because I just received the 10" fry pan and they are apparently all lumped together when reviewing. I am not sure how high people are cooking eggs and omelettes, but I just cooked an omelet and had no problem with anything sticking at all - wiped it clean with a paper towel. Most other nice non-stick items I have purchased advise to not use high heat and maybe med-high at most. I typically do most of my egg cooking at 4 or maybe 5 out of 10 on our gas stove - I am also sure to let the pan heat up for about 4 or 5 minutes. So far my experience has been great with these and will now probably order the three nesting saucepans.
Love it and a breeze to clean
The 8” fry pan is perfect for grilled cheese and eggs, small orders. I have loved my large fry pan and saucepan as well. I wish I had gotten the full set. I have pans nestled with protectors between and use silicone utensils, just to make sure there’s no scratches. I’m getting rid of Teflon and other coated cookware that can release forever chemical.
Huge dissappointment
This was potentially the best pan I have ever used. The pan is fairly heavy and distributes heat well. The best part is that my eggs don't stick. I have had it less than a year and the coating is bubbling up. Since I have taken very good care of the pan there is no reason this should have happened. The pan was a gift and I do not have a receipt so I cannot file a warranty claim.
Serious Product Control
For the product itself I would give it a 5 star; but I had to reduce it to 2 stars for the way Kohl’s shipped it as the handle was sticking out of the box! The box was totally too small for the frying pan; can’t believe someone got away with shipping it that way? II absolutely love the Ninja Foodi NeverStick Premium Hard-Anodized Frypans. They cleanup so easy and I have used metal spatulas on them and so far they have not scratched. I probably would not suggest cutting in them with a knife.
Ninja 8 inch frypan
I was so glad when I found an 8 inch Ninja frypan at Kohls! This is such a handy size to use for small things, but I have also the 10 inch covered one for bigger needs. Both have excellent non-stick coatings and clean up very easily. The thickness and weight of the pan are also a big plus. I haven't had either one very long to see how long it will last, but I believe they will last much longer and keep the non-stick coating much longer than most frypans do. My husband found a lid on Amazon that will fit the 8 inch pan. Ninja cookware is pretty pricey, but with Kohls's discount, Kohls cash, and a gift card I got great deals!!
Who wouldn't love a giant cheesecake stuffed chocolate chip skillet 🍪? And that starts my review off on a positive note, because the Ninja Foodi NeverStick cookware are oven safe up to 500 °F and I love versatility in the kitchen! I was very excited to try this out since I'm desperately in need of new cookware, so what a good opportunity it was getting to test something out before financially committing to a set. I had high hopes for this since the Ninja Foodi line a fantastic brand, and hardly disappoints but unfortunately this missed the mark for me. The cookware that I'm currently using and love has similar claims to this line, so I knew I would be able to have a good comparison. These weren't terrible, but the "Never stick" claim with not having to use any oils or butter just wasn't accurate! When I tested this out with something simple as eggs, they stuck horribly. I also found with this that you had to be careful with how high of a heat you used, because food would stick so I would say these definitely aren't made for high heat cooking. In terms of the hardware, you can tell that they're well made as they have a fairly good weight to them and underneath is stainless steel. I truly wanted to love this since I am in the market for a new set, but it just doesn't compare to what I'm already using. They have lots of other great products out there though, so I will continue to support the brand regardless.
