They are very large. I was looking for a nine inch pie pan. I now store my nine inch pies in the covered pie pan. They are good quality.

Multi-use

The pie pan is great and the lid is surprisingly versatile. We’ve ended up using it several times a week to cover whatever baked goods we might have out.

I’m moving away from my glass pie dishes, so trying this aluminum one and a ceramic one. The fact that this comes with a lid is perfect— especially for my no-bake cheesecake, pumpkin 🎃 pie, key lime pie, etc.

I have used this several times now and it works wonderful with the cover so no need of plastic wrap.

This is my second one. Why didn't they always make pie pans with lids. I absolutly love them. No more tin foil or sticky saran wrap over the pies!

nice for tarts or flans...but the lid is a pie-crust-killer

I bought this for baking flan, so it was adequate for me. however, I don't think I'd have selected this for pies. 1st, (and least important) it would've been nice if it were dishwasher safe. Minus half a star there. 2nd, (the most important): the lid. There are a dozen different pie pans you can buy. If you choose this one, you're probably paying noticably more because it's the only one with a nice sturdy lid. It's a great concept (who likes putting the effort into baking something that gets smooshed in transport?). However, with this design, the lid just doesn't work that well. The rim of the pan is about 2 cm in width, 1 cm of that is in direct contact with the lid (when attached), leaving just under 1 cm that you can use for a crust. You can cross your fingers hoping the crust expands just enough in the oven so the lid doesn't crush it after it's done--good luck with that. Alternatively, you can shape an especially narrow crust. The question I'd be asking myself though is, "am I buying a pan to accomodate a pie, or am I baking a pie to accomodate a pan?" ...if you're compromising you're recipe before you even begin, you're probably using the wrong equipment.

The best metal pie pan

Had been without a metal pie pan for sometime and realized all my crusts seemed to be a little soggy in my expensive E H bakers. Saw this Nordic Ware aluminum pan and, loving all my NW bundt pans, thought I'd try it. My perfectly baked crusts have returned! The high lid is a plus also. I thought I might not like the vents in the lid but great to have when you need to transport a still warm pie and cover the top with plastic wrap when need to seal.

Perfect size and great quality! Hubby even said it was nice...he never comments on stuff like that:)

STRONG PAN AND COVER

IT IS WELL MADE ,HEAVY DUTY PIE PAN,GOOD COVER,SNAP ON.IT WILL WORK WELL FOR STORING/COVERING BAKED GOODS.

Love this one. Cover is high enough to accommodate meringue. Quality made pie pan. Highly recommend!
