The gate is fine, but the color is wrong (it was supposed to be a white gate, but actual color is more grey).

This is probably the worst item ever purchased once you adjust it to the wall and use the plastic know to tighten and latch it just skips and loosens DO NOT PURCHASE THIS ITEM

Lazy, cheap, and pathetic shipping

Don't buy this item to be shipped to you. There was no "shipping box." I ordered two of these plastic gates. Rather than ship them in a box, Walmart wrapped them together with cheap thin plastic and tape and tendered them to FedEx. As expected, the units bounced against one another and everything else during shipment. There are pieces of broken plastic loose inside the cheap thin plastic wrapping. Lazy, cheap, and pathetic shipping.

Junk

This gate is terrible! Mine broke the first day I bought it and didn’t return it and kept using the product and now I can’t get it ti secure in the doorway. Terrible terrible terrible

Unfortunately may have to return. Won’t fit the opening I need it at. I should’ve measured. It’s not that it doesn’t expand, I have a border on the bottom of my opening which doesn’t allow it to be flush

Great As a Petgate

Helpful when need arises to introduce 2 cats - must stack 2 of them to prevent a "jump over." They can remain separated but can get close to each other.

Worth Purchasing

I had to return because it wasn't wide enough. I did try to use it so I want to let everyone know that the product well worth purchasing.

Works keeping pets and toddlers from where wanted

The gate is very sturdy and locks perfectly to the room entry. My only complaint is that once installed, it is somewhat difficult to unlock without removing the gate from the door entry.

It came with a small piece broken and trying to use it was difficult so the rest of that piece came apart. It was not made as well as one I bought many years ago.

We had one just like it when my son was young, and he is 25 years old now. The gate looked age but never broke down. These kind of baby gates are so sturdy that they will last forever. I donated my last one to charities before I realized that I need it for my current dog. Getting this North States pet / baby gate for around $** is definitely worth it. I think I paid $** for my last one 20 some years ago.

[Rewarded Review] Dog and toddler gate

Easy to install. Well made and stands up to toddler “impact”. It is easy to mount and instruction set was very east to follow. Easy to adjust to different door sizes. This is our second unit we have purchased ; the first one purchased years ago and permanently installed at head of stairs to prevent old dog from wandering. We use this second one as a “mobile” unit.

Perfect! I purchased one of these years ago, I wanted another one. It is very durable, easy to set in place.

The doorway where I plan to install this has baseboards. There is no adjustment to the parts that contact the wall so it has to be set up with the bottom off the ground and it's a little less stable than it could be.

This gate is very sturdy

Very sturdy and easy to install. I highly recommend! We are using it as a pet gate outside on our deck, and it works like a dream. It keeps our 85 lb. GSD inside with no problem.

Great Gates!

We ordered two of these and are so happy we did. They are already assembled, just have to put them up and you are good to go. We use these to keep our Britanny Puppy out of the bedrooms.

acceptable pet gate

Gates work as advertised. Not as easy to use as the ones we had years ago with a squeeze handle to open the gate...Those appear to be few and far between now. This style is fine if you never have to remove the gate, but if you do it is a process.

It's sturdy and it's low and so you can step over it as an adult without falling over or being unduly uncomfortable to do so. I got this because I have a Chihuahua and the grill made it impossible for her to sneak through (like many baby gates she can sneak in because she's so tiny). However in the end, I was able to find a gate with a door that had narrow enough bars to prevent a 5lb pet sneak through, and this is far better for us as it is a high traffic area we use it for, so constantly stepping over gets a little old. If you don't mind stepping over or use in a low traffic area such as a walk in closet or whatever, this gate would be ideal and is much better than all the other gates we had before. Again I have to say the quality and the stability really stood out compared to any other pressure gate we tried.

Don't bother

I wouldn't waste my time with this one. Flimsy at best. In order to proper tension it to the walls, you can't have baseboard in the way. So it needs to be held up above. While doing that, it needs to be exactly parallel to the walls as you try to hand stretch it across and then pull down on tensioning lever. Assuming you got all that - it rarely stays taught in the opening - esp if trying to walk over it. Not that our dog has tried but I am sure she would easily knock it over.

Pet Gate is Fantastic!

This pet gate is so sturdy it keep my boxer from knocking it down. It can get wet and I don't have to worry about metal parts rusting out because it's made of hard plastic. I like the multi-level locking feature as well. Very well made. Thank you.
