Exactly what I needed. The picture does not do justice and they are closer to black, which is what I was hoping for. Great quality.
Do not buy this light
The design of this light is so poor, that it will 100% fail. The arm is attached to the base with a single nut and when the light arm is rotated, the nut gets loose and the light swings down. It "might" last a short time if you neve move it, but then what is the point of purchasing one that pivots?
These are large but perfect for task lighting. They come with cord, not hard wired. Picture is deceiving.
Lamps a pretty. Description not so much.
I'm not sure anyone in the lamp industry has figured out how to describe the measurements and functionality of a library sconce. These are lovely. They are MUCH bigger than they appear or are described. Not for a shelf of books unless you live in a house with 15 foot ceilings and a wall of book cases. I will not use these for the initial purpose... shelves. They instead will be mounted in my bedroom for bed side lamps. Hasn't been done yet, so can't comment on functionality or flexibility of the arm. I'm not hunting for a smaller version for my normal sized house.
SWING ARM LIGHT
This is a beautiful and sturdy light. However, the name was misleading as it did not swing. It was adjustable to up and down positions, not back and forth.

Color not as pictured. Difficult to adjust.
It took months for he pair to arrive. Much larger than what I had imagined (my fault for not measuring or inquiring) and MUCH more brown than the gold shown in photo. Yo can't turn it on from the lamp portion - must reach back to base. I haven't hung it yet, but it is so difficult to adjust that I am afraid that I will rip it out of the wall struggling to adjust it once it's attached.
Beautiful Lights
My husband and I are planning to use two of these sconces in our kitchen. Though we have yet to install, they are clearly a quality product, very stylish, and the antique brass is gorgeous. They are also a great price in comparison to similar designer versions.
