Unbelievable: disappointment&BAD business practice

I will NEVER order from Kohl’s online again! This EXPENSIVE indoor/outdoor rug I ordered arrived very quickly, but that is the only positive remark I can make. It arrived damaged: not from packaging or shipping, but horrible construction! The rug was wrapped tightly in plastic: always a great sign that care was taken in its prep. HOWEVER, upon opening it and rolling it out, there are two LARGE areas where the looms/threads are badly unraveled! I was hesitant to order online, for I have had items arrive (from other companies) that were either damaged in transit or didn’t match description, etc. However, have always loved what I have bought in-store at my local Kohl’s, and indoor/outdoor rug selections in most stores are scant. So, I gave it a shot. Poured through all the rugs to find one to match my porch decor, and was super-excited for it to arrive and even more thrilled to see, as I was unwrapping it, that it was a PERFECT color-match after all. I sincerely can’t believe Kohl’s sent me this! Would return it in an heartbeat, in exchange for a new, UNDAMAGED one, but in reading their Return Policy, the shipping charges are the customers’ responsibility. NO WAY am I paying to ship back a defective item that should have never been sold and shipped in the first place!
