Great product, no instructions

I like the nice finish. But, the only problem was there was no instructions for installation.

[Rewarded Review] Tiny door knocker-not recommended

The 4" door knocker with viewer, by Delaney, is not finished well (rough edges and grind marks at the backside edges where the knocker fits up against the door.) In addition, the knocker is only 4" from top to bottom and it looks hideously small placed on the average exterior door of a home or apt. There were no installation instructions included with it, so I was not sure what size hole to drill into my front door for the peephole. For these reasons, I chose to NOT install this door knocker, as I know it would not look good. I need a knocker much larger and with a better finish.

[Rewarded Review] Nice look, matches Delaney handle set.

Nice little addition to the solid front door. I recently reviewed the Delaney front door handle set and deadbolt in brushed nickel and this knocker/peep hole matches perfectly. My only issue is the size of the bore hole. You have to drill a 1/2” hole but the bore is sorta in between sizes it seems. A 1/2” hole will get it done but it’s a little on the large size for the diameter of the peep hole. Screwed together easily. The knocker wasn’t as easily manipulated but works well enough.

[Rewarded Review] Very small

The DELANEY HARDWARE 1.75 in. x 4 in. Satin Nickel Door Knocker with viewer is not what I expected. It is VERY small, very light weight and makes very little noise when you “knock”. It is nice looking and does add to the aesthetics of the door. The cost is perfect if you are just looking for curb appeal. I do not think the functionality of the knocker is what one can really depend on for hearing someone at the door. My parents were over and they could not even hear when it was used. It really only makes a “tink tink” sound.

Don't waste your money

Unless you're putting this on a doll house or just for decoration, don't waste your money. The knocker won't spin because it's deeper than the mounting plate, the "clank" sounds like 2 nickles tapping together and the 180° line of site is 100 yards away. You can see a face if it's 5 inches in front of the hole.

[Rewarded Review] Nice Little Door Knocker

I used this door knocker to replace one that had a previous owners name on it. A hole was already present and this one fit right in the same hole. It's very nice quality and easy to install. I comes with the necessary hardware which is just a screw. The sight port and screw hole had a little thin metal that had to be knocked out but it was easy to clean up. The knocker is loud for being so small and the view is so much clearer than the old one.

[Rewarded Review] Nice door knocker

This is a nice door knocker. The build quality is excellent. The finish on the front side is excellent. It looks great. The knocker does not come with instructions. It has all parts needed for installation. It comes with one wood screw, but you need to drill out a hole in the knocker. There is a divot provided in the base of the knocker that is covered by the middle of the knocking arm. After you drill that hole, you can screw the knocker to the door. The hole for the viewer also needs to be drilled out in the door.

[Rewarded Review] Looks nice. Clear view through viewer. Small in size.

A door knocker that integrates a viewer is a really nice idea. At only 4-inched tall and a little over 1-1/2-inches wide, this door knocker is small in size. It’s made of a cast metal, which is very light in weight, finished in satin nickel. The view through the viewer is clear and you can see 160-degrees with minimal distortion around the furthermost edges of the view field. Assembly was easy, but instructions are not included. A single wood screw secures the bottom of the knocker body to the door, while the viewer sleeve passes through the 1-3/4-inch thick door and secures the top by threading into the viewer lens. Most visitors to my home ring the bell and don’t knock, so for me, this product serves as more of a decorative viewer than a door knocker. I was surprised at the small size and light weight of this viewer, but it’ll serve its purpose and is more than decent for the under ten dollar price.

Part of the paint had rubbed off when I opened the package. I cannot use this item because when you touch it more of the paint easily peels off to show silver underneath it.
