This is a great security device compared to the ones you see on hotel doors.

Great added security

I just installed this and it’s great. I had no issues with the screws…..sounds like some people didn’t pre drill or over tightened with a power drill. You would have to split the framing around the door to get through this. What I really liked about is that I did t have to chisel out the door moulding. The shape of this latch slopes away from the moulding around the door.

This works so well for our front door. Our daughter elopes and needed a good lock that she couldnt reach or open. We decided not to use the screws that came with the package. For my moms house we had to chizel a part of the casing of the door somit could fit right.

Great Deadbolt Option

This is an excellent lock and it is easy to install. In my opinion it provides better protection than a standard deadbolt. I use 3” screws to mount it and it not only provides extra security, but it also helps hold the door against the weatherstripping seals. Excellent product.

Extra security

We were super please with the durability of these locks. They were a MUST have for littles who could open the entry doors by themselves. They could also work very well for loved ones with dementia who may try to wander out alone. These locks give us an extra peace of mind for home security as well. Highly recommend

Very shiny brown

I'm not sure how well it works but I did not like the finish so I am returning it. It does not look anything like the other bronze hardware on my door.

Terrible screws

Lock seems okay but the screws that come with it are garbage. The metal is so soft that the screw heads either strip or break right off and that's even with pre-drilled pilot holes. 3 inch screws should never come in such a soft metal. Useless and now I have a broken, headless screw sticking out of my door jamb.

Screw broke twice during install

I was excited to install this and have some extra security for our home. Upon installation, I had a screw head snap off and then the screw broke AGAIN when I was attempting to remove it. The screw felt like it was made of soft metal. I will not be using the screws provided to install this lock. If someone were trying to break the door down, the screws included with this lock wouldn’t hold up to 25 lbs of force let alone the 800 lbs of force advertised.
