Challenging to install and poor quality

Heavy and high quality, solid brass knobs. Love the skeleton key that comes with the mortised option.
These solid brass door knobs are going into a 1920’s reproduction beach home. They are solid and heavy like an old knob and will add to the overall quality of the build.
Lock cylinder does not work - it freezes up. Had to call a locksmith for help getting key out and he said it is poor quality and he couldn't fix it.

I love the overall look of the door knob on our french doors, but the finish is horrible. My husband used painters tape to hold the face plate in place during the install. The tape alone damaged the finish. I can only image what will happen in time when a ring scrapes it.
