Look nice on the cabinet .

They do the job.

They do the job, but I had hoped for a more solid hinge and better closing action. These hinges replace very similar ones that were original to our 1957 home's linen cupboard. The originals were not self-closing and were simply painted steel. The frame wing on one of the old hinges fatigued and broke all the way through, allowing the cabinet door to droop and fail to shut. These P243 partial inset Hickory Hardware hinges were the closest I could find that fit the dimensions needed for a replacement. Since the cabinet pulls are finished in original antique copper I ordered the P243's. Well, they fit the application well enough, although on the cabinet frame I had to "plug" and re-drill the screw holes for the frame wing on the cabinet frame to get a solid fit. That was also necessary as these hinges subtly move the door over on the frame just enough so that the door now wouldn't close completely due to it running into the frame on the opposite side of the door, remember, these are partial inset doors, thus the need for partial inset hinges. The reason these new hinges shift the door over is due to the self-closing feature. The original hinges didn't have this feature (it probably wasn't even available back in '57). Regardless, the doors were repositioned easily enough and are now working fine, but I am somewhat unenthused about these Hickory Hardware hinges for two reasons: One, the self-closing feature is simply too weak in how it closes the doors, compared to the newer style of self-closing hinges on our kitchen cabinets the action on these hinges is barely noticeable until the door is almost completely closed by-hand; and secondly, the "antique copper" finish actually looks more antique brass-like. Since the hinges are opposite the pulls on a relatively wide cabinet door, the difference doesn't "jump out" at you, but there definitely should be more copper color infused into the finish if that's what you're selling. I'm keeping the hinges and the doors are working well again. I'd just hoped for something that met my expectations more closely. As I said earlier, unenthused.

These hinges, along with other hardware purchased at the same time, made a perfect upgrade for our kitchen cabinetry.

For an order of 17 pairs, there were 2 pairs worth of screws missing

Filled a need that we had in a kitchen upgrade. Only suggestion is to have screws of a studier quality included.

Perfect color to match cabinet pulls and oil rubbed bronze faucet! Cabinet doors have been sanded and painted. Will be hanging them this weekend.

These were almost perfect. Unfortunately they did not work for my client…. I will use elsewhere. Does not discourage me from ordering products for other clients
