Old Smokey %2322 Charcoal Grill best grill ever.

Delivery of Old Smokey %2322 Charcoal Grill was on time as specified when purchased. Grill specifically requested by person grilling our meat. Box did not include assembly instruction therefore went on line to find, and assembled with a Phillips screwdriver and correct size wrench with no problem. Grill large enough to smoke 4 slabs of ribs, sausages, hot dogs and chicken all at the same time. Recommend this grill for beginners - pro grillers.

Got the 22" and it's big. Got the tall leg extensions and it's tall. Metal is thin and so I bought 1" stainless washers for reinforcement inside and out at all bolt assembly points for added structural strength and durability. Purchased a stainless coal/fire basket and a cover for longevity. No way to add coals while cooking with solid, non-hinged grill grate.

Old Smokey is by far the best bang for your buck! I had the 18…. 11 years till she finally burned a hole through bottom! I cannibalized the long legs which fits all… 14, 18, and 22! I have the magic bracket from Old Smokey direct and now have a charcoal setup with charcoal holders from Walmart and really have a wonderful setup from here on out for less than $100.00 bucks!

Came highly recommended when I moved to Texas. Awesome purchase, easy to assemble and works great! There a few attachments which are nice like the attachment that holds the lid, genius!

My favorite charcoal grill

This is absolutely the best value for money, small smoker you can buy. I have used these for decades, and some of the absolutely best barbecue I’ve ever made has been on these grills. I have customized mine with heavy duty legs, but the factory legs work just fine

I bought this and I love it! I have to say that I loved it before I even bought this quirky smoker/grill.🌾

[Rewarded Review]

My husband has wanted one for a while, we decided to celebrate our anniversary early and thought it would be the perfect short notice gift. I was really pleased with the item and my husband immediately put it together to test it out. He loves it!

Amazing price for an amazing grill.

Item came in quickly and the grill itself is simple yet amazing. It’s not meant to be pretty, it’s meant to work. I paired the grill will the Weber 22 inch folding grate with the center punch out and added two half moon charcoal baskets and I have a complete setup that is versatile and reliable

Port Arthur Texas Christmas 2022

Yesterday, I smoked 10 Ibs of chicken quarters. The first use of this grill/smoker. Previously, I added the long legs from the 18" product. I put a 10" x 12" x 3" high, aluminum meatloaf pan full of water in the pit. added the mesquite charcoals on the remainder of the surface, began with open vents on the bottom and top, and let it rip. WOW!!!

We’ve used these for generations

Pribably one of the most sufficent and cost edeective 22” grills you can get. Can use for literally anything (burgers, carne asada, smoking brisket/pork, ribs). Ships directly from the houston manufacture, home depot offers lower price than the manufacture. I live in california and i always get asked about it. My grandfather and dad had one for as ling as i could remember.

Old Smokey = Old Reliable.

This is my second Old Smokey. The first one I had for 12 years. The 22" Smokey is the perfect size to smoke large cuts of meat or grill for a crowd. I like the 22" because it has handles for carrying, which makes it easy for this short woman.

Its pretty good unless you live where it is cold. I live in Minnesota, and it was a fine grill until it started to get cold out. Because it is made out of such thin sheet metal it struggles immensely to hold cooking temperatures. Even if you build a serious fire in this thing, if its below freezing 300 degrees is the max. Not even usable for offset smoking in the winter as you would be constantly re filling this bad boy to maintain even smoking temps! I will say that it cooks a mean pork chop if its warm outside. Gives pork chops a bacon like flavor and crispiness, which is why I am keeping it. For cooking pork chops in Minnesota, 3 months out of the year.

Great Price

I purchased this as a birthday gift for a friend. He has a gas grill but felt that steaks tasted better when cooked on my Old Smokey because of the many different Briquette flavors available. This is a great item at a great price. Home Depot beat all of the other store prices by a substantial amount. Shipping was very fast. I feel this is a great product at a great price.

This order was scheduled to arrive on 11-25-2020 via FedEx. Unfortunately, it was rescheduled numerous times and finally arrived today. Upon inspection, the boxes appeared to have been opened and resealed. After opening one box, extra contents were found with the grill. There was a bottle of Gold Bond lotion included. Also, a package of screws and hardware for another item was there. The biggest surprise was a bag of some sort of I.V. solution found inside. This in my opinion should never happen. Hopefully it never does. The grills weren’t properly packed leading to dents. Again, let’s hope this doesn’t happen again.

I love this grill. I also own a weber, and it isn't really fair to compare the two. A weber does things hot and fast an old smokey low and slow. The flame sits very low from the grill so its very forgiving and hard to burn your food. I think its the best grill you can buy for under $100. It just doesn't sear very well again since the flame sits so low. But i have no complaints and it cooks things that require slow cook times like chicken or pork great.

Top dawg

Easy to assemble and absolutely fun to use. Once you learn to dial your temp where you want it, OT takes no further effort to keep it there. Long smokes.....use snake method on your charcoal and wood and can easily cook 5+hours at a controlled temp. Not convinced? Join the Old Smokey group on FB and you will understand. Don't waste hundreds on something that will fail you along with poor customer service and just buy one already! Made i. USA and good customer service!

A friend of mine introduced me to this grill. It is such a simple design, but it is an amazing little grill. I’ve cooked twice in it but I find it easier than most grill to use. I cooked hamburgers and hot dogs the fort time in it and they cooked perfectly. I threw some ribs on their yesterday and a couple of hours later they were cooked perfectly. This was my first time cooking ribs myself. Don’t waster yourself time and money buying any other charcoal grills. This one will do you just fine.

Great grill!

I shopped for a simple inexpensive grill this time around because we are renting and dont expect to be here for more than a year but Im so pleased with this grill. Its big enough to keep the coals to one side and cook with indirect heat. It seals up well and provides a great smoke flavor to what ever we cook. The vents on bottom and top work great to control the temperature. We opted for a longer set of legs ( sold on eBay) which help to make this an overall great grill.
