Packages arrived within a week in good condition. Packed very well, no damage in transit. Instructions were good to follow with the structure. The roof pieces took longer to install. Each section of the roof has two panels that stack and it was difficult to insert both into the channels and have the top piece overlap the bottom piece while sliding upward into place. Also the hanging of the curtains starts in the corners. The video from the scan code used another type gazebo as the roof was different than what we had. The video showed using screws, our structure did not use screws but rather slide in panels held with rubber wedges and then a border placed around the bottom of roof panels. Be careful putting up in the open sun as the metal does get hot. It will take two people to assemble and three to place the roof structure in place. We do like it, but the item is overpriced. It should sell in the $700 range. Hope we get alot of usage. It is now 2024 and we are still using. The sun has faded the curtains quite a bit, but everything is still good and standing up to the elements. I do see that the price has come down and that is a good thing for someone now considering purchasing. Besides, friends and family enjoy the shade it gives and a dry sitting area when rain is present. I really like this unit and recommend!!
Very well made, nice quality and excellent powder coat finish. All pieces were packaged well and arrived with no damage at all. The stainless steel hardware was of good quality and I expect it will last a long time.
The Roof will make you re think your entire life
The roof panels and consstruction are some of the WORST i have ever seen. There is a 1cm tolerance between panels to line the up properly. Was awful to install. A year later (Now) panels are popping up and leaking water, and doesn't seam to be a way to fix them without fully taking the roof off and re living the nightmare.
Not a great purchase.
I expected this to be a lot heavier and solid than it is. It's very lightweight and after one storm, the right side of the roof broke. Very disappointed, especially after I had to pay six hundred dollars to have somebody build it. I could have went to one of the wholesale clubs and got something bigger, solid and about the same price. Also all the curtains Have changed color due to the sun exposure.
Great look. Great packaging. C
I bought this the beginning of the summer. It was the size I wanted and gas both the netting and curtain. The reason I didn’t give it a 5 is because the instructions were a but confusing and I don’t know how sturdy it will be until it goes through all our seasons in Canada. If it handles all if them, I will come back and revise my number to 5. Otherwise, it came well packed in two boxes. In each box everything is well marked and prepackaged. That part they get a 5. Love the color. I haven’t even put up the net or curtain since it provides such shade, we haven’t needed either.
3 Stars
Tl;Dr - The roof is very hard to put together and caused us much aggravation. Direction's don't help much. Single-piece roof pieces would've been much better. We got this in hopes of having a great replacement for the much less expensive gazebos with the "accordion" or pop-up style frame. The frame was assembled pretty simply. It's the roof that caused distress. First the pieces that came in the box were not cut correctly and didn't fit. Luckily we got very good customer service from Overstock and had a new box shipped within a day. Unfortunately, even with the correct pieces, the roof was still a pain the butt to assemble correctly. The manufacturer gets 1-star for poor directions, ease of assembly, and packaging (several pieces were dinged and dented upon arrival). Overstock's customer service added the extra stars. I really hope this lasts as this was a big expense for us.

The frame and structure went together pretty easily, really need two people to get this done. The roof sections are very difficult to piece together. We have not quite figured out how you insert a trapezoidal piece into the side supports. The on-line video was useless for this part as it only showed how to feed the middle roof section, which is rectangular in shape. Going to work on this again this weekend. Fingers crossed.
NOT RECOMMENDED TO BUY
This is a very nice looking gazebo but awful to put together. It took two of us 6 hours which went fairly smooth until we came to putting roof panels in. This is the most ridiculous and frustrating way to put in a roof. After 4 or more hours, we gave up trying to place the small, ridged, triangle pieces in that wouldn't fit or stay in properly. I really wonder if when the people created these pieces, did they actually assemble them as they have instructed? Considering the very expensive price tag on this item, I would think it would have been a bit less difficult to assemble. I still haven't been able to insert those pieces and my gazebo stands in the rain uncompleted. We have tried several different times and ways and are at a very frustrating standstill on how to fit and keep them in. I wouldn't recommend purchasing this gazebo unless you have someone who has knowledge and experience on inserting ridged aluminum triangle pieces. We even searched up YouTube videos and several other customers were frustrating with the same problem.

INSTRUCTIONS ARE GOOD. PARTS ARE LABELED LOGICALLY. ASSEMBLY OF THE ROOF IS VERY DIFFICULT. MANUFACTURE SHOULD INCLUDE TRACK GUIDES FOR INSTALLING TH ROOF PANELS. I MADE SOME OUT OF SCRAP SHEET METAL. IT WOULD COST THE MANUFACTURER LESS THAN A DOLLAR TO INCLUDE PLASTIC GUIDES WITH THE KIT. FIRST 3 ROOF PANELS TOOK TWO DAYS WITHOUT GUIDES. AFTER I MADE THE GUIDES THE REMAINING 7 PANELS TOOK ABOUT 5 HOURS.
Just what we needed! Did my research
Very happy with this purchase. Live in the pnw. I’ve now read in the rain 3 times. No leaks. Sturdy, has not moved in the wind. And east to put together.
5 Stars
We have received many compliments. Company loves sitting in it and they say it is very cozy. Quite sturdy but had difficulty putting roof on; this is not a one man operation. Curtains and netting are a plus. Living in the south the curtains have faded from the sun. Definitely remove them when the season is over because storms and winds may rip them. Am not sure if replacements can be purchased. Had two battery operated lanterns and attached them to two pulleys and hung them from the roof hooks which makes changing the batteries in the lanterns I much easier. Enjoy sitting in it in the morning with my coffee while the birds serenade me. We put a wicker lounge set in on the 12 foot side with a coffee table in front of it. The opposite 12 foot side we put two chairs in one corner and a bistro table with two folding chairs in the other. My neighbor enjoys coming over to listen to the birds and enjoy the solitude and a cup of coffee. She said when she sits in the gazebo she feels like she is on vacation. Thank you Overstock for an exceptional buy.
Flawless Assembly
Engineered for perfect assembly!! Took 2 people 4 hours. Instructions are exactly illustrated, each piece is labeled alphabetically, not one scratch, dent or bent piece, every hole lined up perfectly, top slid into grooves effortlessly...we were amazed!! We placed on a 11x13 wooden deck, 6 inches high. Waited to write review after 3 weeks, has had 2 pretty windy rain storms with no leaks at all and many days of 100¡ã Texas sun. Patio heater I already had hangs perfectly for winter. Electrician added switches and plugs.. Strung Patio lights inside, attaching with zip ties and added 2 hanging lights from the 2 hooks inside top. Used to replace rotted, falling apart Wooden gazebo. Sturdy and strong enough, I feel will last years! Could not be happier!!
Worth every penny
We absolutely love this gazebo. The grommets were falling off of one curtain panel, that's the only reason I knocked off one star. I contacted Overstock about it but haven't received a reply yet. We read all the comments about installation and we were prepared for a nightmare. It really wasn't that bad. Watching the video is a MUST though. I can see where everyone had trouble if they tried putting the roof together just by using the instructions. The only tricky part for us was overlapping the corners of the roof rails. They seem to only overlap and align one way. Sliding the roof panels in is a little confusing but when you figure one out, the rest are a breeze. It does take two people. One to hold up the panel and one to guide it into the track. The panels get super hot to touch in the full sun so do it early in the morning. It comes with gloves but they are really thin. I added a photo of a fan we purchased from *****. It hangs on one of the hooks from the ceiling and makes this gazebo so comfortable. I highly recommend it. We live in the South and it stays hot and humid all summer. Without the fan it gets super stuffy. We had a summer storm the day we installed it and there were no leaks at all. Very sturdy gazebo we hope will last years.
Assembling and instructions
Outsunny 10'x12" steel hardtop canopy patio gazebo with fully enclosed zippered curtainsI purchased this canopy in March of 2021, and am now able to give a review. It took a while to enlist help to put it together. This product was originally damaged in transit and the company immediately offered to replace or reduce the price.INSTALLATION THOUGHTS:1. It takes no less than two people to construct this hard top canopy. It took them no less than 4 hours just to put it together.2. Piece no. R1 and R2 were the last roof sections to put in place and it took brute force to install them.3 This canopy came with curtains and netting. There are no instructions on how to tie back the curtain and netting, only a picture at the end of the instruction booklet. On the surface, you might think it should be easy, but the way the tie back is attached to the netting, it becomes a jigsaw puzzle. On page 16, it indicates the tie back as a "bandage"? This "bandage" has velcro sewn onto the netting which is used to wrap the netting/curtain. The part that gives me pause is that velcro sticks to netting and over time velcro is going to have a wearing/tearing effect on the netting. Maybe bungee cords will work better. Then, there is a grommet centered in each curtain and I haven't figured out its purpose. As of this writing, I'm pleased with the product and already enjoying time out on the deck, under this canopy.
Well-built gazebo, 3-4 hour install for two people
Assembly was fairly simple until you get to the roof panels. Most of the job can probably be done solo, but it is significantly easier with a second person. It's hard to tell quality when I've only had it up for a week- the previous gazebo I had was supposed to be rust-free and started rusting after a couple of years. This one seems to be structurally sound; I've yet to secure it to my patio, but it has withstood strong winds the last few days without budging. Cons: There's only one. The roof panels on these are aluminum and wavy, and some of them were bent out of the box so they were somewhat difficult to install. The panels are exactly long enough to fit into the bracket, so any movement in either direction and they pop out (once they're installed they're secure). Make sure you have a second or third person to help with this step. Other that that, this gazebo was pretty easy to install and the instructions were straight forward.
Well built - easy assembly
I'm impressed. This gazebo is well engineered and sturdy. It is exactly what we were looking for. All the predrilled holes lined up properly during installation. The parts are well labeled and easy to identify. I assembled the unit by my self, however, it would be much easier with two people especially the roof. I recommend buyers view the assembly video on YouTube (use model number to get correct video) a couple of times for assembly hints. The steel roof was important to us as we live in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and needed something that could handle the snow load. The only drawback for us is the need to anchor the bottom of the curtain and mosquito netting to our deck so they don't flop in the wind. Other than that, it's a great addition to our back yard.
Good gazebo for the price
Gazebo is looks great and seems to be sturdy. Instructions are a bit fuzzy, with mostly pictures without words. Video definitely helps clarify instructions but unfortunately when it come to the roof it seems the video was for an older model. That being said it took about 10 hours for my wife and I (I'm 59 and she is 51), assembly of framing went very smoothly (all of the holes lined up properly) it is helpful to use a screw gun. Parts were labeled well but 4 of the #1 screws were warped (thankfully there were 4 extras or I would have been screwed). When it comes to the roof assembly, it is possible with two people though I think a third person would have helped. The key to the roof is not putting the N and Q panels in until last, this allows you to access the panels from the top as you go around, which is tricky and requires some patience. Also make sure the panels are facing down the right way or you could wind up with water pooling on them. Overall I think it is a good product and very possible for two people to assemble.
Worthless video Decent construction
The packaging was a bit banged up upon arrival and the corners of many of the roof panels were bent. Luckily only the very tips and I was able to straighten them. Hopefully this will not cause them to rust faster. The damage is covered by the support channels and end pieces. Construction took about 7.5 hours and the roof was the hard part by far. Each panel got a little easier. Make sure to not do the square panels on at least on side until the very end and leave the screws all loose until the panels are in place. I have not gotten to put the screens up yet due to weather but will update if there is an issue. The size is perfect for my patio but I was aware going in the dimensions are based on roof coverage not between the posts. I used an impact drive which helped immensely with putting the screws in. One BIG issue, the video on the QR code was for a slightly different model and had no bearing on how the roof was attached or put together so I had to work from the instructions only and other reviews. Thank you to those who put tips in the reviews!
Beautiful gazebo - take your time with assembly; it's not that bad!
We read almost all the reviews on this before purchasing so we knew what we were getting into. As others have suggested, make sure you open up both boxes and have all the parts. Be careful with some of the support pieces - they are wrapped together and only one piece of each is labeled. The instructions, while only pictures, are easy enough to follow if you look closely and think logically. For the small triangular pieces that go near the top we found that getting the long diagonal side into the channel first made it easier to work the panel up and into the channel for the shorter straight side. Also, I would recommend securing it to the concrete (or staking it to the ground if not on a solid surface). It is has some weight to it, but in strong winds, I could definitely see this getting moved around.I gave this 4 stars only because the mosquito netting already has a runner/pull in it that I need to repair (and I was careful with it when installing).Other than that, we are very happy with the gazebo and recommend it - we're looking forward to being able to use our patio all spring, summer and fall now that we have shade and protection from the elements.
Very satisfied customer!
Very pleased with this gazebo. Takes 4 to 5 hours for assembly. Tips: Pull all parts out of packing, check for damage and check everything is accounted for. Fairly simple assembly, but roof panels are a little tricky. #1) the large bottom roof panels go on first, make sure direction is correct and the rail that holds them in place is only snug. You remove these several times during assembly to attach other pieces and then the decorative caps at the very end of the project. #2 when installing smaller top pieces, work your way around gazebo leaving the center pieces last. You need to access the roof openings to firmly attach the panels into place. #3 make sure they are facing the correct direction. #4 lastly, the small plastic blocks are used to apply pressure to the joints where the panels over lap. When all this is done correctly, I have a wonderful leak proof roof. Had a downpour move through the second day it was up! Totally dry inside! Only suggestion would be a weighted screen netting so it doesn't blow around in the wind. Overall , very very satisfied! OverStock has this on my doorstep within 3 days
