Like the item, however instructions were horribly inadequate. Took much longer to assemble than necessary.

Looks exactly as shown. Provides plenty of shade, and extends out further than expected. We have received several compliments on it.

Nice sun shade. The top did get a little moldy if you have trees over it. Little hard to set up by yourself.

this took me a while to put together because im disabled but i was able to by myself. just take your time. read the directions, watch the youtube video and i used pictures from the aosom app. i anchored it into wood under my siding and 2 people lifted it up and tightened it. its perfect for my little back porch. im going to order a bench. first order with aosom and i was hesitant but trust me, i will definitely order something again soon.

Poor quality, Terrible customer service

The assembly instructions for this awning leave a lot to be desired. I finally installed it, thanks to YouTube. Once on the wall, it worked but it was difficult to crank in. I contacted Customer Service at Aosom (the company that makes the awning). They were little to no help, finally telling me to take it back to Walmart. I installed it eight feet above the concrete of my patio with much difficulty and was not excited about taking it down, taking it apart and taking it back. I asked for a replacement part that I believed could fix it and, of course, that part was out of stock. Pay more for a better product. Avoid this company.

Love our new awning - the bright stripes make the deck very colorful, sunny & summery. I have received SO many compliments on our new awning! Easy to unfold and refold. Covers just the amount of deck I wanted covered! I recommend it & I will be purchasing from Wayfair again.

good product at very cheap price'

very good product , but needs a lot of concentration and attention to details on the assembly.

Based upon warnings of other reviewers, I took my time carefully following the directions, since they are not that clear. Fortunately, I assembled it correctly, and the awning worked perfectly after I installed it. The awning is great, and provides shade for half the day. I like the fact that you can tilt it so you can get it at the perfect angle to block the sun. The awning looks great and seems very sturdy. It is a great awning for the money.

Attractive but difficult to install

Too many pieces to put together and instructions suck. Nothing labeled and poorly written. Needed more tools than mentioned. Took 2 adults two days to assemble. Like it but would be more diligent in reading description next time.

I had help installing this awning and I did e-mail them for help. They answered all my questions, and it was an easy job to finish. I feel they have a great product and would recommend it to anyone.

we like the awning after we put it together, but before then it was nuts . The parts was not number . Now we wait for a sunny day.

This is a nice shade and does the job as intended. Installment was easy for the product but instructions only address securing to brick walls with no other guidance. The most difficult thing was accurately locating the studs through the siding. I bought an 8' length (7' foot opening of awning) and unfortunately the placement of the shade brackets do not allow for adjusting to stud placement. Had no choice but to attach to the header of the house where ceiling meets attic due to bracket constraints and door/window locations. I suggest at least a 10' length if using over a small deck.

EXCELLENT PRODUCT

I had a handyman assist me in hanging this. He did it in 2 hours, drilling 6 holes into masonry. He was so impressed with it, he took pictures to show to other customers.

Hopefully it's exactly what I need.

We moved to a new house 6 Months ago. The office room has a garden window and faces South, the roof of the garden window takes on full sun from 10am to 3pm. Even though I could not find the right size I was looking for the space I had, I think this one will work just fine (8x7). The funny thing about the instructions is they only show how to install on a concrete wall. My walls are T-111 siding, the hard part was finding a wall stud in a place where I wanted it to go. I bought the 8x7 and the brackets are 92in oc so I was only able to hit one stud and I had to go into the attic to find it (long story).If you are not good up on a ladder (I gave this three stars for ease of installation) then I would not attempt this. First you have to make a level line the full length (I was at the top of an extended ladder because the front of my house is already two feet off the ground) , they say use a chalk string but I used a long level. Then you have to measure how far apart the brackets go (there's room for play by a couple of inches). When I attached each bracket I would put it up on the line semi tighten then place a small level on it to tighten the lower bolt.Once all three brackets were placed, with two ladders my wife and I carried it up step by step (It's really not that heavy but I can see how one person could get themselves in trouble trying to do it alone) and by George, it went into all three brackets no problem. The bolts though had to be placed from the bottom up as there was not enough room to drop then in from the top (a little annoying but I was too close to finishing). Adjusting the angle was no big deal just a couple more times up and down each ladder.The only thing I do not get is what about Winter I get rolling it back up but there's no end caps or a rain cover. Oh well, as long as it lowers my Summer time temps,...I'm good!

Quality product.

I had been talking to my wife about putting an awning on our front desk for years. We finally decided to go for it. We researched multiple awnings knowing we had a maximum of 8 feet in width to go above our picture window. We finally settled on this one after reading dozens of reviews. Fits like a glove. Very functional and attractive. Installation was straightforward using to peope. I would suggest using a 2 x and good anchors. Opens and closes with a minimum of effort. Really improved the look and comfort of the deck. For the quality of this item the price was great.
