It been great so far.

Disappointed

The mailbox is solid and very well built. However, there's an issue with the door. It doesn't close all the way. It was installed level and plumb, so that's not the problem. Needless to say, I'm very disappointed with it because the workmanship doesn't exactly match the price.

Arm for mail to be picked up by the mail delivery person

That would be nice if the red arm to notify the mail carrier was made of steel instead of plastic. That would be nice if the area in the mailbox that is designated for mail to be picked up by the mail carrier had a clip in the mailbox that holds the mail firmly in place. Otherwise, the Mail Boss Package Master Triple Mailboxes are great.

Mailbox came damaged. The back corners were bent and you could not remove it from the mounting plate. So I thought it was from the shipping company. I contacted Wayfair and they refunded me $48. I figured it would be easier than getting another one delivered and that one get damaged. Well I took it to a metal shop to get straightened out which cost me $50. Ok, no big deal, it was a wash. Then I start installing it and notice the bag of hardware was torn open and taped up with masking tape and only 4 lag bolts…there are 6 holes! Then I go to remove the mailbox from the mounting base and clearly someone tried this because I can see the screw heads were close to being stripped! So what I rec’d was a returned unit that someone messed with and more than likely dropped on the back edge that bent the corners! I’m done ordering from Wayfair…can’t trust them!!

Mailbox and flag don’t match durability

This is a great mailbox and very well built, but I don’t understand the plastic flag. I have had metal flags for years that never deteriorate from the Arizona sun, but plastic will never outperform metal.

This Mail Boss weighs in at over 50 pounds, so I also purchased the Mail Boss steel post. Both products are of exceptional quality much, more than I expected. The finish and the fit of all the parts are perfect.

Great mailbox. good quality. FedX damaged 2 of them (camera showed it being dropped, not placed on the ground) so had to order a third which arrived in perfect condition. Highly recommend this mailbox. Large interior and because it locks you can travel and not worry about having someone collect your mail.

Super satisfied

My regular mail box has been hit twice by thieves. Purchased the MailBoss Package mailbox and was super satisfied with their mailbox. Excellent quality. Heavy duty. If this does not do the trick nothing will. They did a great job with this mailbox. Ordering from Home Depot is really easy. J Jones. Aiken. SC

It's a heavy-duty box, weighing almost 50 lbs. We chose this box over others because it has a shelf for outgoing mail. The shelf can hold large envelopes, while other boxes just have a clip for outgoing business-size envelopes. The biggest drawback is that this box doesn't accommodate larger packages the way our large, old-style box did. The mail carrier will have to come into our office to deliver most boxes.

Looks great, seems pretty sturdy

We are pretty happy with our purchase of this 3-way mailbox configuration. Only con seems to be the way the base plate is screwed to the cement pad. The screws seem to small to make it feel anchored, so it has a bit of "play" to it. We may try using an impacter on those screws to see if they will tighten down anymore. Otherwise, everything was great. We would recommend this purchase to others.

Very, very sturdy

When the box arrived in the mail, I couldn’t believe how heavy it was. I could hardly lift it. The mailbox is made of fairly thick steel, is overall very well made, with no gaps or blemishes. The finish (I ordered gray) looks great, and I couldn’t find a single scratch.

Great box!

I installed two boxes of one post. The post was the in ground type so I wanted it to be anchored well to hold the 90 pounds of mailboxes. The soil here is very loamy, sand and clay, so here’s what I did. The hole was dug 24 inches deep and 18 inches wide. In the bottom I put a brick for the post to rest on, I need the wooded post to be 8 inches longer than the metal sleeve to get the right height. In to the end of the post I put eight 4” screws that hung out 3” to help it join with the concrete. I then hammered into the sides of the hole four 24”x1/2” rebar 12” deep. The I added the concrete, 240 pounds, then a few bricks on the top. The top of the concrete was about 8” below ground level so when it was dry I covered it with dirt. My hope is that this will last the rest of my live.

We needed a new secure after hours lock box for the office that would accommodate large packets of paperwork. I looked at different models and settled on this one. It's a bit on the large size and more expensive than other models out there but it's strong an secure. It was easy to mount as well although, as it was mounted on a railing, we did need to add some bracing to accommodate the weight. Again it's very heavy duty. If you want something secure that can handle larger items this is a sold choice.

Secure and spacious. Get right post

Locking feature and sturdy construction chosen to thwart vandalism in rural setting. Don't make my mistake. I erroneously bought post for platform installation. Instead, my contractor mounted box on wooden post in concrete. Seems very secure. Pleased that small packages such as prescriptions will fit.

Solid, spacious, aesthetically neutral

Followed directions and includes extra hardware for all mount types. Went ahead with placing a treated 4x4 inside the post to make the hole deeper to fill with concrete and still within height spec with USPS. Includes plenty of numbers. Spacious and modern. Used one bag of 90lb concrete. Crushed rocks at the bottom. Post and boxes don’t budge. Hope to not get sticky finger mail thief’s again.

Excellent boxes, but quad too much for single pole

Five stars to these larger mail boxes. These are Fort Knox industrial strength, and well designed to accommodate small packages bigger than a check box . But only three stars to the single-pole design. These larger mail boxes are very heavy, and when you load four of them on a single-pole with the cross arm, the whole assembly flexes too much. I suggest modifying the cross bar to allow separate poles to be mounted at the ends, and selling two poles for this quad setup.

I ordered this package master box because they say it is ultimate security. Once I received it, I checked it out to see if it was as good as they say. The first thing I noticed, on a hinge inside the box, it has 5 self-locking nuts to hold it, 1 was not on, 2 were loose, for me, easy enough to fix. Then I noticed the linkage that connects the door and the inner flap, they just put a threaded screw through the pivot point! This means every time you open the door, it just reams out the hole in the linkage, this should have been a smooth part through the linkage, not threaded. I contacted the mfg, they said don't worry, those are stainless bolts! That just makes the problem worse, they are harder and will eat the linkage even more. Then I noticed the bottom door hinge was below the side of the box, it should not be exposed. While it does have a tiny tack weld on one end, someone could file that, push the pin out and remove the door in a couple of minutes. I contacted the MFG about this issue also, again, they said no plans to do anything about it. It's sad, this box has great potential, ruined by simple issues that could be easily fixed. Poor quality control, design problems, security issues. Is it better than a plain 29.95 box, yes. But until the problems are resolved, it is not as secure as they claim, and while it may take a few years, the linkage will become a problem. This box should last a lifetime, not be needing servicing in a few years. The average customer would not be able to take care of these issues.

[Rewarded Review] Great box... crummy lock

Mounted this box on a 6x6 about 2 1/2 months ago. I do like the box itself. It's sturdy enough for rural use. I live nine miles out of town, and the mailboxes are smashed regularly it seems. So far, this box has not been smashed. The lock, however, is another story.
