Loved this item at first. We placed two in a new construction summer home. The lights were only used a handful of times between last July and now. One of the lights doesnt go on at all now. Disappointed.

I love these lights

These lights are great! I bought two to illuminate some artwork in my hallway and liked them so much that I got 2 more for artwork in my living room. I love that they not only swivel, but that you can adjust the size of the beam to really dial in your lighting. They aren't cheap, but they are worth every penny.

Almost perfect

Needed a spotlight on artwork that was focusable to avoid shadows on the wall. I still ended up with shadow from “stray?” light.

Very nice light with questionable reliability

I have six of these spotlights mounted in two rows of three in a large, high-ceiling room. I initially installed them about four and a half years ago. At about the two-year point, two of the lights in one row developed melted elements, visible by looking through the lens. I don't know if this was the result of an electrical surge or not, as none of the other spotlights or, indeed, anything else in the house showed any damage and no circuit breakers were tripped. The manufacturer, WAC, replaced the damaged lights under warranty. Within six months of installing the two replacement lights, one of them began to operate improperly. It sometimes produced light of normal brightness, like its two partners in the row, but at other times, it was substantially dimmer and it frequently blinked for long periods of time. I bought a replacement from Lumens a couple of weeks ago, and, so far, it is operating normally.The light itself is very nicely designed. It looks good, produces a bright light that can be focused into a narrow or wide beam, and it can be easily aimed toward whatever area of the room that needs illumination. My only complaint is the poor reliability that I've experienced with them so far. Less

Doesn't work great with dimmers

Some of the lights worked perfectly with dimmers, some did not.

We replaced existing older spots. Great light choices. Would like the wires to be a bit longer for easier connections

They are fine

Prices are high and a week later they cut the price by 22%. I called in and did get the difference refunded.

Display spot lighting

Easy to install & adjust position. Looks innocuous. Illuminates our large painting very well.

Fixtures must be mounted near artwork

Even, warm white light. Focusing lens has limited length so we were unable to constrict the light beam to the dimensions of our picture.

Great Find!

We bought 50 of these light fixtures for a 1,200 sf office expansion. They work perfectly and provide the right amount of lighting for the space.

Excellent fixture for spotlighting artwork

Used this fixture to spotlight a suspended mobile. Excellent beam-strength, easy to adjust and focus, recommended.

Nice product with one exception

Add some wire for easier installation Great quality fixtures with nice features such as focusing light circle. Wiring leads were only 1.5” in length making it difficult to install.

Adjustable beam width

Lighting New York's price was better than anywhere else I checked and their service and fast shipping was great. I don't know why this fixture costs as much as it does. I have worked with other manufacturer's similar fixtures that included an adjustable beam and built in dimmer for 1/2 the price of this WAC fixture which does not a built in dimmer. High CRI,provides good light, did the job Wires are very short, base plate has two 1/2" OKs instead of a normal opening, doesn't seem to be of the quality expected for the price.

Lightbulb

When the lightbulb burns (within the first year!) you can't replace the lightbulb, you have to buy a whole new spotlight.

Beautiful fixtures

I bought this a month ago and just installed them. They are sleek and sophisticated and add an ample amount of light. I'm really happy with the way they fit into the minimalist design that I have in the office. They don't draw too much attention to themselves, but also add a nice tough of elegance to the room.
