Great door for the price... but

The door is easy to setup and install and it looks great. However, the instructions are incorrect for the inner door being on the left. The water diverter strips and the rollers are installed wrong if you follow the instructions. Its a pain to change once its installed and the corner edge guards are siliconed in. You have to remove the door and redo everything.

After a failed installation and a call to Delta, it turns out this door only works with a Delta shower stall. That may explain the problems many have had with this door. It is not stated anywhere in the description, but it does state in the specs under “compatibility “ that it is only compatible with a Delta product. Wish we had seen this first. The first door was broken by the carrier before delivery and it took weeks to get another one, only to have this happen. We had a professional installer that had to contact Delta to find this out. Hope this review helps someone else avoid this problem.

Poor quality painted finish and deformed trim

At first glance, this product seems very well made and is not that difficult to install. I was very happy with the overall look and function of the product but it did not hold up well over time. After less than one year the finish started to flake off. As you can see from the photos, the painted finish flaked off of the bottom door guide. This part of the assembly sees the most moisture since the water constantly runs down the door and across this part. I am an expert in manufacturing processes so I figured I would explain to others what the problem is here... The material of the larger part is aluminum and was painted black. The two small pieces that screw onto the aluminum part are made from copper and painted as well. You can see the bubbling under the paint which is a clear indication that the surface of the materials was not prepared properly. I plan to strip the paint off of the parts, polish them smooth again and send them to get black anodized. This process will last and this company should be doing this instead of painting. Another issue was the flexible rubber trim that seals along the side and between the doors. It was deformed when I took it out of the packaging and I assumed it was just from the way it was packaged for shipping. I hoped that it would slowly return to its original shape over time. Unfortunately it has not. After a year, it is still wavy and deformed. This causes a poor seal against the tile and between the doors allowing water to spray outside of the shower. Overall, this could have been a very good product but the quality did not hold up and the issues overshadow my effort to make a great quality shower. I hope this honest review helps others make their decision.

Just what we were looking for

Difficult install, junky look

I have an experienced contractor and it took him and a team of 3 guys all day to install this thing. He said there were over 70 steps in the instructions. Come on Delta, you can do better. What is worse, the handles look terrible and do not seal together but spin around and leave gaps at both ends. Horrible. Would never buy Delta again.

This door was impossible to assemble even by my contractor. Also the design is bad it leaks from several areas after install. We are definitely returning it to Home Depot.

The door is nice but all the packaging was broken up and the delivery service was not reliable

I’m sure this product can be improve. those weather seals on the glass are horrible then come loose all the time. my solution was to added silicone so the stay in place. the handles also ned to be improve the small and almost none existing round part thst is inded is small and too flat to grab on to. solution work in some with better grib. I wouldn’t buy it again and the only reason i didn’t return it is because it took me a good amount of time to install it. I do not recomend it to anyone.

Product easy to install and looks great

Very disappointed with this Delta purchase.

I bought Delta shower doors because they looked beautiful in the in-store sample and on-line pictures. These doors come with white side cushions that are not shown anywhere but are needed to keep the shower water leaking out of the shower. These side cushions totally ruin the look of these doors. I called Delta customer service today and they took zero responsibility. I cannot return these because it would be too expensive to hire someone to do that and install another set of doors. I'm stuck!

Door is beautiful but directions are wrong but only to the point that you will have to redo when you figure it out. Also 1st step of placing splash rail, the directions show placement of screws that it is impossible to get drill that close to the wall. Bad design

Terrible design. Professional installation and no matter what we do the door leaks. Poor design. I would stay away from this door
