Looks & Descriptions Can Be Deceiving

(Thought I shared this already): I reluctantly purchased this head b/c I couldn't then find a replacement for my 18-yr old very satisfactory European-style aerating heads w/ a water shutoff control. My suspicions about this shower head were unfortunately confirmed: INABILITY to (1) slow water-flow to anything close to zero while showering, and (2) be optionally direct the head sufficiently to permit spraying down the shower area after showering (due to the tight ball assembly connection). Moreover, even the high-pressure spray does NOT match-up to that of my European-style heads!.

Great pressure and adjustability!

This unit is much smaller than older one I had hoped to replace a part on, despite having same part number. Apparently Speakman no longer makes this popular old model in decent size. Too bad.

Good, heavy duty construction, but does not allow enough movement to properly aim the flow, nor does the spray pattern offer enough range of spray patterns. In short, a good quality construction, but a disappointing ability to customize the spray.

I have low water pressure at my shower, this head provides the best flow of any I've tried. I've now had this for 5 years and even with high mineral content that has destroyed lesser-quality heads, this one stays very clean and unclogged. After removal for a quick vinegar rinse and wash, it looks & works as good as new, no flaking chrome or internal corrosion. This is built to last, easy to clean, no maintenance... it will be my go-to anytime I need to replace a showerhead.

I have a double shower head neck and tried multiple shower heads over the years. Although my water pressure is fine, having two heads obviously reduces the water pressure since it is split in two. Went to a simple hotel while travelling and noticed the power of the water flow in the hotel shower from this shower head. Bought two of them and they are the only heads that work forcefully while splitting the water stream. Can't say enough about them and at a reasonable price. Not fancy but work the best I've come across.

Great quality

Speakman makes a great product. No problems so far. 2.5 gpm at 80 psi. I have less pressure than that so a little low on flow, although enough flow to take a nice shower. The adjustment lever works easily. The flow does not outrun the drain. All metal construction so should last, at least until I get the Rain Forest model.

Ok so this is shower head no.2. Way better. Situation- We have well water, pex piping, spouts are at 8foot . This head still puts out tight stream even with lower GPM and longer travel distance. Some loose-ish hardware may yet prove unworthy, but no leaks throughout assembly so far. We dont require the adjustment- so it's not an issue -but Angle adjustment is poor.

I love Speakman showerheads, this one is not my favorite and doesn't put out as much pressure as some of the more expensive ones, but it still works great

Built to last

This is a no-frills shower head that is incredibly sturdy. Just pick it up and compare its heft to that of a plastic shower head, and you'll see what I mean. Its use is straightforward -- the spray pattern is adjusted with a single knob -- and in my house (which has low water pressure anyway), it noticeably improved the pressure of water coming out of the shower over the head that it replaced. I've had a couple of these in use for many years (I'd guess at least 10), and they still look and feel like new. Unlike so many things that are sold these days, this product is truly built to last. It may lack the "wow!" factor of a shower head with 57 different settings, but it will do its job well and will outlast every other fixture in your bathroom.
