Produce was exactly as described. It was the drain we thought we needed for the tub we bought. Finishes were nice. It turns out we didn't need it for the tub, so Kohler was absolutely fantastic about returning it with ease. This was my error (not theirs), though I wanted to give their customer service 5 stars for handing the return process. Thank you!

Tub drain worked perfectly

Exceeds our expectations!!!

We bought this for our new cast iron Kohler tub. It was the only one available with the oil-rubbed bronze finish. It's beautiful, fit perfectly and very efficient. Just turn the overfill valve and it plugs the drain. Also the plug easily pops off to remove hair from the trap. Just installed so haven't been able to see how good it catches hair yet.

Leaking at the cable box

I thought this would be a great match to the Kohler tub I bought. The installation was pretty smooth. All the PVC pipes/fittings are of good quality. But once everything was glued up and I tested the drain for leaks, it begins to leak through the cable box underneath the drain. Apparently I was not the only one having the same problem. Lucky for me that I have complete access to the plumbing wall and below so that I could replace this with something more reliable with relative ease. I shudder to think having to remove the tub I installed sitting in a rock-solid bed of mortar if I didn't have so much access. But this problem still wasted a lot of my time and effort and delayed my entire project. For part of the plumbing system, this really needs to be better designed and tested. The only good thing is that Build.com was considerate enough to issue a refund without needing to ship it back. But definitely avoid this particular kit!

Faulty Parts

This seems to be a common problem, but water is leaking through the cable box on the tub drain. A plumber told me I installed everything correctly, it is a faulty drain. I would avoid this product. I bought the Kohler tub and this was the recommended drain, but it still has problems. Now I have to pay extra money to have a plumber fix the drain setup because of a faulty part.

I bought this for my Kohler bath install. I had to special order it online as it was shown as the compatible unit for the Kohler bath in stock at Home Depot. After my plumber had installed the bath and drain upon final testing it immediately leaked where the cable enters the drain end. He believes it to be a manufacturer defect. I had to pay him to cut the pipe in half to remove and then fit a regular generic drain instead due to the time frame. I am nervous Home Depot will not take this back as its now in two pieces? but its defective regardless.

Nice design, poor quality

Leaked immediately through the control box. We would have replaced but our bathtub was nearly impossible to get in. Plumber was creative and figured out how to replace an o ring inside the box where the cable attaches to the mechanism to lift the drain and fixed it. Crossing fingers that it doesn’t leak. I would not recommend buying.

Works well

Tub will not drain

Purchased this to accompany the new bathroom tub, a Kohler Entity. After the installation, the tub will not drain. Water fills up each shower to above the ankle. Plumber came back and the pipes are all new PVC and assembly not clogged. Never drained even from the 1st shower. Plumber says the drain is in place correctly and he thinks it may be faulty. We don't know what to do at this point. No troubleshooting that we can find online. No customer service available on the weekends so disappointed. Hoping Kohler can resolve this issue. Would not recommend this product at this time. Do not see another compatible product to substitute if needed.

Developed leak in cable box. Only 1 yr warrantee!

We liked how it worked until it began leaking through the cable box at the bottom. I called Kohler and was told it only has 1 year warrantee. Apparently it leaks through the drain elbow into the cable box that activates the pop up drain.

We purchased the tub drain & also the 60x36 entity tub & couldn’t be happier with our choices & Kohler’s customer service!

Too Large for any tub under 16"

This drain does not have an adjustable connection piece between overflow & drain. (most do not) however, when using this as an "one size fits all" this is simply not true.

Looking forward to installation.

Fits the Kohler soaking bathtub that I had ordered. Yet to be installed, so I'll save my final rating until then.

Purchased this item as it is becoming increasingly difficult to find Kohler products at big box stores. The drain kit was packaged carefully so it would not be damaged during delivery. Great product at a great price.
