Pretty

This light is quite pretty, and looks very similar to the picture. The one thing I will say is even though it says "aged brass" it is a quite shiny, new looking brass. Not necessarily what I would call "aged" looking.

dramatic and noticeable fixture

Truly a statement piece and i always love Hudson Valley lighting. I bought this for my kitchen to go with a couple of wall sconces that hang above my kitchen sink, im very pleased with the quality but was surprised that it is insulated like a commercial grade fixture and a tad tricky to hang as a result. Well worth the money, looks perfect in hallway

Poorly made

Neither of the Middlebury fixtures I ordered sit flush to the ceiling....though they are described as a flushmount fixture. I installed 3 different Middlebury fixtures for my client and all of them emit light from different parts of the upper rim - which shouldn't be the case since they should be flush. Given the construction of the fixture there is no way to tighten the fixture to the ceiling beyond the scope of a few pins provided to get a flush fit. This fixtue is W-A-Y too expensive for this poor a fit!!! Had to send them back.

Classic bling

The design was the reason for the selection. I installed 5 of them in the hallways and they are elegant and no too flashy. A great transitional choice of classic design elements with a clean modern look and feel.

Excellent Flush Mount

It's hard to find an attractive flushmount, and this piece is not only well designed it also feels very high quality. We are very happy with this purchase.
