These Hansgrohe Push-Open drain assemblies are the way to go. Get rid of the old, clunky push-pull device that closes and opens the drain. These look better and work better!

High quality manufactured part. Good installation design and easy to install and I hate plumbing. So that’s saying something.

So much faster to not monkey around with typical lever/ popup drains. These require less maintenance.

Perfect !! Just what I needed. Our granite installer installed our sinks too far back and so we didn't have room for the stopper pull to be pulled up on the new faucets. This solved the issue. Now we just push the drain stopper to fill the sink. Very easy to install too.

It is an easy install. Top gasket sealed just fine on our sink (but I had plumber's putty on stand-by). Pop-up works great, it does have a 'unique' little gurgle as the draining sink reaches empty, but not overly loud or offensive. Since the actual pop-up part is just hand-tight, this should help with cleaning hair clogs down the road. Expensive...I suppose; but I think it might be worth it.

I purchased this as a replacement to a more traditional rod stopper and am extremely happy with the result. The install was so simple, clean and easy I was done in about 20 minutes including removal and cleanup of old stopper. Build quality is excellent (as you would expect) and so is the chrome finish. Nice that it relies on rubber washers and doesnt need any plumbers putty or tape for a water tight seal.

I purchased this as a replacement to a more traditional rod stopper and am extremely happy with the result. This drain is a thing of beauty. Gaskets are thick and seal well. No silicone or plumbing putty needed. Just drop in the drain and tighten with the provided Allen wrench and it is done. The only plastic is the pop up actuator attached to the chrome umbrella plate but given the quality of the rest of the drain I have high hopes that this piece will last for years.

I was a bit cautious about doing any plumbing in the US - I was happy with metric in the UK - so I eventually took the bull by the horns and demolished the old drain since the previous installation was all glued up. With just the U bend left, I cleaned up all of the old gunk (plumber's putty) and assembled the insert and used the provided allen key to hand tighten and check for leaks. Success! the rest of the assembly went like a dream and the sink has a new drain. And my wife is very happy with the result - and that's what counts! I would agree with other reviewers that this Hansgrohe product just feels right.
