I ordered three of these fixtures. One had a minor defect in the bowl, not really noticeable when hung at height but I would have return for replacement had it been a store purchase. The three rods are for decoration only, they don't even reach the bowl. For the price a good product.

The directions leave some to be desired; NO indication of which is the hot or cold wire. I had to drive to a nearby Home Depot to ask a staff person, and he even had trouble figuring it out. He finally concluded that a very faint ribbing on one wire was the cold. Incandescent bulbs at the max don't throw off a lot of light; will see if other technologies work better.

For the price of this light, it was a good deal. If you are a DIY'er, it may take a little while since the wires within the cord did not come clearly marked; so it took a little while to figure out. Unfortunately the glass globe was scratched slightly, not enough to swap out since we are selling.

I am a very picky person when it comes to my home. When I purchased this I thought this would work with the Portfolio Lyndsay 9 light chandelier. I was wrong. This chandelier looks extra small up. I would only recommend buying this for a small round table.

After ordering a plenitude of light collections, the Gather collection proved to be the best quality with a great price. Simple, casual elegance. Also bought the matching semi flush mount. Just wish they also had matching flush mounts. Regardless, I was able to order a similar flush mount through Home Depot with the same glass and finish and from the same company. The only difference was the finial.

I love the look of this product and it is a beautiful addition to my foyer. I wish the directions for hanging it would have been better. The directions was basically a complex picture of all the parts with letter labels. No actual directions. As for the wiring, I'm lucky my nephew is an electrician. I called him to make sure I connected the wires correctly because there was nothing in the instructions about that. Overall though I like the quality and look of the light. The glass bowl shade is sturdy. The weight of the light itself was lighter than expected. (or at least a lot lighter than the hanging light that this light replaced.)

We bought this for our front entry way. The brushed nickel, and frosted light give a modern flair with an elegant look without being to much. Very easy to install.

ok after replacing glass

the light looked very impressive in picture. install wasn't hard. however, the way the glass shade attaches is a problem. the bolts put pressure on both sides of the glass shade. when I tried to straighten the shade CRASH the glass broke around the mounting hole. The shade hung crooked before I tried adjusting it. I ending up using a similar glass shade I had leftover from a ceiling fan install. I discarded all the trim bolts and just used the finial bolt to hold the new shade on.

Bought 3 of these and oh how they opened up area with pure styling and neatness. The company sent a new one when bowl was broken during shipping. Had electrician put it in and all went sooo well. Did put in dimmable bulbs. It will take care of task at times and ambiance at other times as island is between two rooms Liked that they were covered at bottom and open at top. 2 were used as pendants and 1 put at sliding doors to patio. perfect for both locations. Thanks.

Good light, but came with a defective part

The standoff that holds the glass was threaded incorrectly at an angle, so now the glass hangs at about a 10 degree angle. I tried to find a replacement, but haven't had any luck yet. Other than the defective part, this light looks nice and functions fine.

easy to install

It didn't take long to install which is good since we are not not experienced do it your selfers. The light looks sophisticated which we like. The initial light arrived damaged, Home Depot made the exchange easy.
