Workaround For Difficult Hanging
After I posted my previous rating, I came up with an idea to facilitate hanging this light. After putting the two bolts for hanging into the electric box, tie a foot or so of string to the bottom of each one. Pass the strings through the mounting holes in the base from the back. Pull the strings down tightly while pushing the base up to the ceiling. This should align the holes with the bolts. Clever, huh?
Way Too Difficult to Hang
The light itself is fine and would have rated highly were it not for the method of hanging. The hardware provided was apparently meant for use with a much smaller base. It was like hanging it while blindfolded, since you cannot see behind the one-foot wide base to find the tiny holes you need to use. Do not buy this unless you have the patience of a saint! I can't imagine why Progress did not use the standard threaded cylinder in the center method like other brands do.

This light is perfect update for my foyer area. I got this for 117. Very smart looking fixture.
