Great Shower Arm, Except…

We purchased this arm because the same drop ear height from the previously installed tub/shower was used by the re-pipe plumber and was set way too low once the shower was finished. (It wasn’t realized until the shower was tiled.)

Installed with a rainshower. This enabled us to use our existing fittings - avoid major plumbing work and retiling. It looks great, and works well - the swivel is important since the the existing fitting is off-center.

This is a high quality piece. Heavy, well made and beautiful. It gave us the extra height we needed (the people who lived here before us must have been very short), whilst remaining clean and modern. It swivels from side to side and had numerous anchor points to support is hefty weight. Note: Your tile and wall/framework needs to be able to support this. Check first.

First, I'm very pleased with the quality of this product. Heavy, quality, beautiful. The swivel is smooth and leak-free and is a nice touch. Before you buy this, just like all the other reviewers have said, it absolutely requires the 4 screws to hold it. Your thin wall copper pipe in the wall will NOT be happy holding this plus what is probably a heavy showerhead as well. So make sure you have something solid to bolt in to. In my case, I opted to remove the entire shower wall and re-tile, so it was easy for me to add a 2x4 behind the showerhead to accommodate this. The other factor is that there is no flexibility in the depth. when the tapered pipe thread bottoms out, that's the installation depth. So either make sure the pipe in the wall can shift back and forth, or make some other fix. In my case the tile ended up too thick, so I had to buy a 2.5" diamond hole saw so I could inset the base into the tile wall.

The metal is well machine and all cuts are very clean. definitely not made in China! I would always recommend any hansgrohe stuff!

Beautiful and functional! Every review said beef up the wall due to the weight. However, now seeing it, the key is to make sure the inlet pipe is well secured as it is holding much of the weight.

This shower arm is heavy metal and very high quality. Finally my shower doesn't spray water at my chest but overhead which is what I wanted. Nearly ideal design. Installation just a little different but nothing beyond ordinary handy skills most people buying this from Home Essentials Direct already have. You'll be satisfied with it because so few of these things are well made. This is the good stuff, not cheapo plastic. Nice "heft" to the materials and it's beautiful too.

Not installed yet but this showerarm is rock solid and will definitely be a center piece in our new bathroom. Beautiful to look at and can't wait to enjoy my first rain shower (yes, I combined this with the Hansgrohe raindance shower head which is another solid quality piece). Very happy!

Was the perfect solution to an unforeseen issue in a recent Bathroom Reno when we realized we need more height on our shower head. This gave us the "lift" we needed and the quality was beyond expectation. This really is a very well designed, well built and solid shower arm. Installation was simple and the finished result is both practical and pretty.

Love this in my shower and paired with a 16" shower head, really gives you flexibility to not only move it around, but also to raise it about 6 inches. My only complaint is the mounting as the 4 mounting holes are so close together, it wasn't easy to hit blocking and unless your tile is very tight around the pipe, doesn't give enough room to securely drill holes and mount. I ended up purchasing some 6" screws so that I could hit the blocking behind the pipe.

This thing screams quality, it is pretty heavy and solidly made. Will last a very long time. A very good alternative to raising your existing showerhead height an extra 8". This compliments the Hansgrohe showerhead perfectly.

we bought because the existing plumbing is too low (didn't want to break open the wall and re-do the plumbing) and this raised it up nicely. One caution is that this is quite heavy, and with a rain shower head, together it's even heavier; so make sure you have enough support to hang it.
